Overall i'd say this is a great game for mature gamers. It has many of the features seen in other gta games, and even more new ones. GTA4 has a good story and many interesting characters. I would say one of this game strongest points is the online multiplayer ability. The game has a good replay value but the multiplayer makes it a definite must own!

With all the hype that this game has brought about, I have to admit, this was a step back from what Vice City and San Andreas brought to the plate. The missions can really get repetitive. Really, it's drive from 1 dot on your GPS to pickup somebody, drop him/her off and cover him/her, kill the enemies, drive him/her back - get paid. It gets all too repetitive. Even the so-called main storyline missions are too predictable. Go from 1 dot on your GPS to another to "take care" of this that or the other, drive all the way back (sometimes you even have to steal a cop car) and get paid. It's just way too juvenile and predictable. There isn't as much miscellaneous things to do as there was in San Andreas and Vice City. As for graphics, for a next-gen game - it's subpar at best. Most of the characters still have that cartoonish quality to them and motion blur seems to be the key to smoothing out the graphics. The storyline can be humorous, but it's all over the place. After finishing probably 60% of the game, I got incredibly bored and just put it on my shelf. It wasn't exactly all the hype I thought it would be. I had more fun playing Oblivion than I did playing GTA 4.
What's great about it: Same formula from past GTA titles
What's not so great: No flying, no character customizations, redundant missions

People don't understand this game. I have to admit, in the beginning I wanted to return the game. It was confusing, boring, and stupid. But I didn't want to gave up on a game that got 99 out of 100 on many various magazines, so i continued to play. As i progressed in the game, the missions became alot more adventorous, and amazingly fun! Don't let the beginning trick you, keep playing.
What's great about it: Graphics, realistic, story, everything
What's not so great: no airplanes, although there are helicopters which still is awesome.

This game while fun for about 10 hours is very over rated. I likes the sigle player as well as the multi player modes. However each mission is the same and after about 2 hours it becomes boring.
What's great about it: fun game with lots to do and free roaming
What's not so great: same game with new toons also cookie cutter missions

The game is okay, but if San Andreas was a next-gen game and had better graphics, then it would be better than GTA 4. Nevertheless, it has a high replay value.
What's great about it: Graphics are 9 out of 10, Storyline is great.
What's not so great: City is small compared to what its based on (New York City), can't drive trains, no planes, no car customizations

Ok this game is best played with friends to see how many stars you can get. but online its laggy and boring. The story line trails on and on in the begining. and it hardly picks up after. not only that but the shooting sucks. but if u so neeeeeeeed it then get it.
What's great about it: Its a fun game
What's not so great: online sucks and the story is boring
