Using an enhanced version of the Unreal Engine 2.5 this game turned out to look great and play even better. You can choose from dozens of ways to eliminate your foes by using plasmids, or just pick up one of the many weapons in the game and blast your away. With so many ways to take out your enemy and multiple story endings, its no wonder you are going to play the story more than once. Even with many great titles still to come, Bioshock has made its mark on the 360, with an unforgettable story and unparallel graphics. Its just a must buy.

Bioshock in one word, is amazing. From the amazing story that pulls you in. To the slick visuals and smooth gameplay. Bioshock will grab hold of you, and take you on a wild ride through the city of Rapture.
Even though there is no multiplayer. I've played through the game several times and I keep coming back for more. As stated above, this game has it all. Anybody and everybody should invest their time into Bioshock. I promise you won't be disappointed what you find lurking at the bottom of the sea.

I bought this game on August 21st when it came out. To be honest, this is the best game for the Xbox 360 by far. The graphics for this game are unbelievable, and the gameplay is amazing too. To beat the game throughly it took me around 20 -30 hours, and I still know I missed some stuff. There is no doubt that this game will win game of the year. Trust me, buying this game will not be a disappointment.

This game pulls you in with a immersive atmosphere that grips you quickly as you try to discover a amazing new world. The game has expection controls that are easy to master with many kinds of abilities and weapons as you traverse through each section to discover what is going on in this underwater world. Who are the little sisters? Who is that guy that is helping you. It is all amazing game. The graphics are amazing with fluid realistic water and the looks is gritty with a 60s vibe. If your into first person shooters, action/adventure, or just want a mysterious mature story then this is your game. The game has two diverse endings depending on harvesting little sisters or saving them which brings about a different ending. Its a enjoyable game that will have you hooked!

That is one of the greatest 1st person shooters out. You feel like you are in the underwater city it takes place in. It a roller coaster ride but fun-ner. Great guns and graphics. It does take a long time to beat, so its longer than most 1st person shooters. The online play is real cool. A must play for any gamer.

Bioshock is one of the most creative shooters in a long time. Right off the bat, the game immerses you in a mysterious underwater city called Rapture, constructed by Andrew Ryan, whose radical ideas could not be recreated anywhere else in the world. But it is not long before you realize that something has gone completely wrong with a once grandiose city. With the help of a mysterious citizen of Rapture guiding you throughout the game, it is your mission to find out just what is going on. Oh, and the massive arsenal of weapons and plasmids don't hurt, either. With upgradable weapons ranging from a simple wrench to a powerful crossbow, it is up to you to decide what weapons are best to keep you out of harm's way. With three fierce types of ammo for each gun, that may not be such a hard task after all. But the variety of plasmids are where the real fun comes in. Stop your enemies dead in their tracks with a bolt of lightning, make 'em sizzle with an inferno of fire, or even send a horde of killer bees after them. There are over 10 different plasmids available in the world of Rapture, which can also be upgraded. Above that there are 71 gene modifications that you can use to improve your character and have a fighting chance against the world of Rapture. But watch out -- the only way to obtain more plasmids is to get to a Little Sister, and that is no easy task. Each Little Sister wanders around the halls of Rapture with a big, lumbering monster of a thing dressed in a scuba diver's suit. The Big Daddies are no easy feat to overcome. You'll have to put all of your skills to the test if you want to defeat them. Only then is it up to you to save the Little Sister and get only a little ADAM, the precious resource that allows you to gain new plasmids, or you could harvest them for every ounce of ADAM in them but sacrificing their lives for it. The choice is yours and will ultimately effect the way the game will turn out. Walking around the world of Rapture, you will notice the incredibly gorgeous and detailed environment. The way the smooth, rippling water cascades down from the ceiling in water falls or the rich lighting effects that will reflect off of wet surfaces or create shadows in which who knows what creature lurks, it is all so elaborate. You'll be able to tell that this city has gone through some serious mayhem from the broken and rusty water pipes to the blood strewn along the walls. But maybe one of the best parts about this game is the nostalgia from a lost era scattered throughout the city. The team behind Bioshock did such a good job of recreating posters, commercials played over the intercom, and even the attire of characters in the game, all of which they blended in to fit with the once prosperous city. Even as you walk around into different areas, there will be a lone radio or record player left on and eerily playing music as you wander through dark corridors. They are great songs, too, like "Papa Loves Mambo" by Perry Como and "Somewhere Beyond the Sea" by Bobby Darin. The music adds to the effect that Rapture remains a living, breathing place. The citizens you will unavoidably encounter remain with shreds of their former life that will emerge when they speak to ghosts of their memories as you approach them without their knowing. I did give the game, 4 stars, however, because of its lack of multiplayer. I'm a little ashamed of myself because I know all games used to be single player, but in this new age of video games, multiplayer is almost essential to keep a good game. There is little reason for replayability above finding the alternative stories of saving or harvesting all of the Little Sisters, or -- if you did not during your first time playing the game -- you could beat it on Hard difficulty. Other than that, the Xbox 360 achievements are fairly easy to acquire. But even Bioshock's strictly single player adventure is not enough to mar this gem. If you are a fan of shooters, I would strongly recommend this game. If you a fan of a brilliant story, I would strongly recommend this game. If you are a fan of absolutely amazing games, I would strongly recommend this game.
