Kind of disappointing. To me, Christian Bale doesn't really fit the profile of a serial murderer, and the overall plot had me going, "What the heck?!". Worst ending ever!
What's great about it: Christian Bale
What's not so great: plot
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This was a great movie. It deals with materalism in our society. Patrick Bateman could be anyone of us who wanted what others have. Everyone wants to be the top dog at work. The character could be anyone who sees this film. Check it out.
What's great about it: Great story

This is an enjoyable film that makes you laugh because you are so uncomfortable, yet for laughing you should also feel like a terrible person. In that, this is a great film. I love the scene with Huey Lewis and the axe.
What's great about it: Great performance by Bale, good adaptation
What's not so great: Graphic violence and almost pornographic in scenes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

christian bale still is scary to me after watching this movie years ago. this movie was very well done and the symbolism is very eye opening.

Patrick Bateman (Christain Bale) is a man who works on wall street by day, and by night he is a serial killer. I can not put into words how much I enjoy this movie. I have seen this movie over a dozen time, and have already recommended it to all my friends.
If you enjoy thrillers, scary movies, or gore-fests you must see American Psycho.
Beware:
Not intended for children, youths, or those that do not like the sight of blood.
What's great about it: Christian Bale is amazing
What's not so great: none, but the more obscure American Psycho 2 is terrible
I would recommend this to a friend!
