This monitor itself is what you would expect from a 23'' hd monitor. It is good in those regards. But the stand on the monitor is very cheaply made and flimsy. This makes it so the monitor always wobbles and if you have a shakey desk, this problem becomes even more noticeable. The display is very nice and the value is good, but if the stand just had maybe a little more sturdy design this would get a 5 in every category.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings

Its better than what it replaces and provides very good picture quality. The controls could be a little less sensitive. Since I don't change settings very often it's not a problem.

This is a great monitor. I was really amazed at the difference between this LG and the monitor I have next to it, and that's using the D-sub connection.
My only regret is that I didn't buy two of these in the first place, so I wouldn't have to look at this eyesore old monitor on my right :)
The only quibble I have, is the lack of height adjustment. Not a real problem for me, but thought I'd mention it because that might be an important consideration for some.

The shape, weight, and overall appearance are as excellent as the display. The color rendition and resolution leave nothing to be desired.

Great until I got lines

I waited to do this review for the simple fact I like to own a product and see the longevity of it for the review. I've had this monitor for 9 months now and a week ago I got a blue line right down the middle. Then 3 days later a green line .5" to the right of it formed. Both vertical lines. I have it hooked up using a hdmi cable to my PC. I run it at 1920x1280. It's been a great monitor up until then. Didn't even make it a year for casual use. Highly disappointed in this particular lg product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have this monitor since April 2013 i like it so much, but since one week the left side is bluish and almost on half of the screen pixels look bigger.....I have tried everything, I changed cables, I have tried with different graphic cards, but the problem is the monitor. This is my second LG product, the first one was a TV i bought in 2008 and after 1 year i had problems with black ghosting.....very poor quality.
Pros: poor quality

EXCELLENT PICTURE

We replaced our 7 year old iMac with a new Mac Mini and needed to get a decent dimply since my wife does some Photoshop work…..this 23" LED display is wonderful. We had high hopes for it based on our now 4 year old 47" LED TV by LG…..and we were not disappointed.
