Disapointed

Since I've purchased the printer, it has went through a ridiculous amount of ink. I wouldn't have thought too much into this issue, except that it is, in my eyes, wrong....just wrong. I mostly print grayscale & haven't printed even one photo. That being said, one would think that the ink I would be using mostly would be the black cartridge. Nope, not so. I have replaced the cynan (a blue/green) cartridge 5 times, black twice & both the red & yellow once. This blows my mind. The other day, I had the machine open to remove a paper jam & left it open while I restarted my print job, to keep an eye on it. When it started printing my grayscale print job, I was shocked to see the printer lay down ink in this order; cynan, red, cynan, yellow, cynan, & finally black. I don't understand why the printer needs any other color than black when printing a grayscale or black & white job. Maybe I'm missing something, or just don't understand, but simple logic tells me this isn't right at all. Now I believe when people say that they are in it for the money from ink cartridges.

This printer is a piece of junk. Is all its designed for is to make you spend money on ink cartriges. We have 2 of these units and all of a sudden they won't print and you have to go thru the cleaning process and that eats up ink. The unit that I use will no longer print in black and I have changed the black cartridge twice. So not quite a year of use its going in the garbage where it belongs.

I set the printer up, downloaded the software, went through the whole 9 yards and the thing wont print. It says everything is fine, its connected, the wi-fi is on, but then it says it cant find the printer. Then about a half hour later it will print the page half way and then stop. Today I have been working on printing 2 pages for the past 5 hours. Finally got one of them printed, the other half way printed. I am electronically savvy and have completed all the normal tasks to have an easy printing experience. There is no reason for this printer to be this difficult and if it is user error, the system is horrible designed to be user friendly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible Printer!

I purchased this printer for school less than a year ago. The first thing that I noticed is that it blows through ink like crazy. I do not print a lot and have already changed the cartridge three times. I can deal with that though. What I cannot deal with is that it is already broke. It will not print anything with black ink. I have gone through all of the maintenance and changed the cartridge to no avail. Yes, this printer was cheap- I did not expect much from it, but less than a year later and not working is ridiculous.

Started out great...

Our WF-2630 was great for the first few months, but then problems arose. It began to lose connection with the network, forcing us to constantly setup the connection again. The print quality deteriorated, even with new factory ink cartridges (which even the machine said the old ones weren't low) it was streaky and looked out of ink. We tried cleaning the heads, but it made no difference. I think, at this point, we are done with ink jets, they just don't work for long.

Can't print in black and white when color is out

This printer doesn't allow you to print in black and white if you have one color cartridge out. There is no way around this at all. Print quality is poor, don't even think about printing pictures on this printer because they look awful. I've never used a printer this bad in my life, I wish I could return it but I'm stuck with it.

Very poor printing

Printer has not worked very well from the beginning. First I thought the toner had dried out due to the printer being on the shelf for a long time. But even the new cartridges printed badly. Printer prints a very pale pink no matter what the color of the document. of all the printers I have had in the past, this one is the worst.
