No rear tray

Not a fan of this new unit. Like usual the ink cartridges continue to get smaller (expected every time Canon introduces a new printer) but the big issue is no rear tray which takes away a lot of the flexibility. Would not get another Canon printer without this feature.
Pros: Easy Setup, durable
Cons: no rear tray
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible in capability, speed of print & cost/page

This printer is only good for one thing: Prints decent pictures but if you don't mind the time it takes to do so. Other than that, name any aspect, and you will be disappointed! Because it is not economic to run (expensive ink) this printer does not deserve more than one star.

Prints Great when it wants to......

I have had to replace this printer 3 times already in 4yrs.
The Print-head is faulty. You can replace it and clean it all you want it still over time starts to print the areas it wants.

Good Printer for Price and Casual Use

It all depends on what one expects an inexpensive printer to do. This printer was probably not designed to be an office workhorse, but a personal home unit. The quality of the photos I have printed so far outweighs the slower speed and occasional setup routines this printer is want to go through. I would say my usage is "casual". Final output quality is what counts to me, and I am quite satisfied, especially considering the price.
Pros: good printer for price, good quality photo printing, Easy Setup, decent b/w speed
Cons: slow color printing, occassionally goes through lengthy setup fits, some will not like the slightly larger footprint
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Purchase

I've used this printer for about six months and other than the printer misfeeding photo paper twice, it's worked great. It's been a fantastic printer and it's odd that so many people have had problems. Wireless printing is a breeze and it prints great photos.
I do use my pro canon printer for serious photo prints so I only use this printer for non critical work.
Pros: easy to use, reliable, quality prints, wireless printing is great
Cons: photo paper sometimes misfeeds
I would recommend this to a friend!

Seems to work properly but I am unable to get it to print wireless. That could be my fault I have only had this printer a week. I have not yet balanced it using my spyder 4. If I am ask to comment later say in a month or so I woiuld be happy to reevaluate it.

Love the PIXMA iP7220 - Very Happy With it!

I've been using the PIXMA iP7220 for the last ten years or so...I've gone through a couple due to my heavy printing, but I always come back to this Canon Model. For the most part it's been maintenance free. It's always nice to have the ability to print on both sides and to print to the edge for my posters and art prints. I highly recommend this model. I also own the 8700 and the 6820 due to the nature of my business.
