this product will not update either by wireless or cable. It is likely defective and will be returned as the wait for repair is 7-10 days.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only watched one D.V.D. in the unit but negotiated through the disc programs very easily .
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

After ten months product continually freezes.

At first this seemed to be a great product. It froze up once after about 4- 5 months but after finally receiving reset information from LG, the reset worked and all seemed alright. Now ten months out the player continually freezes and must be reset, sometime multiple times though out the day. I certainly would not recommend this product to anyone.
I have kept up with the firmware updates but this has not made any difference.

My Blu Ray DVD Player works just like new.
