I have an older Sirius radio with a LIFETIME subscription. I wanted to hook it up to my vehicle's AM/FM radio. This adapter allowed me to connect it to my radio directly without having to "broadcast" the signal to my radio. The installation was plug-n-play, without cutting any wires. Basically, you just unplug the antenna wire from the back of your radio, plug the antenna wire into the adapter, then plug the adapter into the back of your radio. The remaining wire gets routed to your Sirius radio. This direct connection removes any interference that you will get when you "broadcast" the signal to your vehicle's radio. This was a perfect solution for me. I highly recommend it.

Worked great turning old am / fm into Sat Radio, trick was getting correct antenna wires to splice into vehicle radio antenna wire. Check with Best Buy service staff for correct part numbers.

I recently installed a Sirius satellite radio in my vehicle using the so called kit that came with the radio,it uses the ground wires in the vehicle for an antenna through the accessory plug in the vehicle,there was static in the radio almost all the time even with it on the stations that Sirius suggested,I installed this adapter between the radio and the antenna and no more static,it works great,they should include this adapter with the car kit the one that comes with the radio is all but useless.Great product.

Needed this item to connect Mt Sirius dock to my vehicle's stock stereo. Best Buy did a great job connecting it. Works good, like it should, but the sound is still not as clear as FM stereo.

I could only use my Sirius system less than 1/2 the time due to static and lost signal. Now the sound quality rivals a CD; the signal is always strong; and, the installation at the Hamilton Ohio Best Buy was very professional. This is the best purchase I have made in quite some time.
What's great about it: OUTSTANDING RECEPTION - CD QUALITY SOUND
What's not so great: NONE

I got this installed back when I get my satalite reciever installed at Best Buy in South Bend and I couldn't be happier. I have never had any static come through at all compaired to people at work that are using the wireless connection. I would highly recommend this product for anyone that is getting satalite radio and don't want to worry about static!!
What's great about it: Easy to install, great sound quality, no static

Fixed the static

I do not know what other reviewers are talking about when they said this unit made their sound come through quieter. The volume of my satelite radio is much louder after connecting this. The sound quality is finally the way it should be. This unit should come free with the satelite radio. The amount of static and interference I dealt with prior to installing this was horrible. I almost returned my Sirius radio until I found the FM Direct unit. Now the sound comes through perfectly. I could not be happier and it took about 10 minutes to install. This is a must have even if you have a slight amount of static.
What's great about it: Performed better than expected, Easy to install.
What's not so great: Having to buy additional equipment after buying the high priced satelite radio setup, Should come free with the radio.
I would recommend this to a friend!
