Tricky Lightbulbs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't have much experience with cooktop hoods, but this model seem fine. The only thing frustrating is trying to change out the lightbulbs and to find replacement lightbulbs that don't cost an arm and a leg. GE sells replacement lightbulbs for this unit, but the got horrible reviews, so I am hesitant to spend that much for a lightbulb that doesn't last.

Very Noisy Fan.

Fan is very noisy. Sounds like it has a bad motor and an imbalanced fan/impeller. Does not ventilate very well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We want to help you with the fan sounds that you are hearing. This hood requires 6" ducting to perform optimally. Using smaller duct pipe will cause reduced venting.

Weak ventilation

Looks nice but poor ventilation. This units max cfm is 350 for a 36 inch stove/ oven. Should be twice that to move the heat and smells out of the house. Also very loud.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We want to help you with your hood ventilation. This hood requires 6" ducting to perform optimally. We also recommend cleaning your grease filter if you haven't already. To clean, swish the filter in hot soapy water and rinse in clean water or wash it in the dishwasher. Be careful not to use abrasive cleansers.
