Great looking and it works great! I really love the lights!
Negative: the extender's material clashes with the original stem.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Returned the first one with an out-of-balance blower. If vented to the outside, the slots used in recirculating mode do not hide the duct. Poor design. Had to have a stainless steel piece fabricated by a local sheet metal shop. End result is nice but the journey to get there was painful.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had GE appliance installed in my new home just over 2 year ago (range, hood, dishwasher, microwave and refrig and all of them except the store have been or are in need of repair already. The hood is extremely squeaky and am being told it has blown a bearing so I need a new blower. Very disappointed with GE.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just Installed !

Looks good and is quiet on the low and medium speeds. Not sure on effectiveness of removing smoke/fomes yet, but did use with oven and the heat seems to be being removed as the oven vents up at the back of our slide in range. Halogen lights ae right brightness but they do get HOT. Wonder if can replace with LED bulb?

This hood is part of the upgrade package that was purchased and part of our newly built home. The post part of the vent hood that goes straight up did not reach to our ceiling because we have 10' ceilings instead of 9'. So GE sent some people out to measure the space and had a new vent cover piece custom made. Then they came and installed it for us. It looks great now! That's true service! I like the fan auto turn off feature and the light is nice. It is very sleek looking and does the job it was intended to do.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Too loud!

I had this hood installed two months ago and it is looks good. However, I never turn the fan on because it is much too noisy. I can hear it throughout the house. Even worse, there is a clicking sound too.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought and install this good myself. The install was a little tricky but it looks great and the exhaust works well. This hood was part of a whole house remodel that included led lighting. So I was disappointed when the hood came with halogen lights. They burn hot so we don't use them. I don't know it leds would work in that environment but if they did it would be a good improvement.

We ordered this fan for the house we just built because I didn't want a microwave above our GE slide in range. I am not sure where the builder bought it so can't contact store about concerns. I like the looks and it seems to operate well, but We can't seem to get the fan to turn off by hitting the button for off and on. My husband has had the problem too so we are unsure if this is a defect and we need to contact GE. It's frustrating enough to make me want to turn the fan on. It is a beautiful fan though.
