My husband and I bought this for our den. Before we bought this product we bought another brand because it was cheaper. Once we got it home we both look at each other and was like we should have bought the LG one. Once we pack up the other and took it back to the store and bought this one. Once we got home my husband unpack it. Ladies you know that men don't like to read directions (LOL) so I got the direction book and start reading when he was unpacking. When I finish reading the booklet he had everything set up. So I start telling him that you can do this and that with the system. He looked at me and say babe I have already done that. That show you have easy it is to figure out. I would trade this product for anything. We are thinking about getting one for the bedroom and his studio...
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, it don't take up a lot of space.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Save your money!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After only 17 months, the LG 300 w Soundbar (NB3530A) will not activate (the red light is on indicating it is powered) when the TV (LG 42 inch) is turned on. I have disconnected and reconnected everything to no avail. I checked the TV setup and it has not changed from when the Soundbar was working. It is connected with an optical connector. I am disappointed that it has died after only 17 months. If I have to replace it, I am not inclined to buy another LG product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What a difference!

I bought this product to pair with my LG plasma TV and I am so happy I did. The sound is fantastic! The smallest sounds that usually get drowned out from standard TV speakers are as crisp and clear as the voices. My beagle was very confused when he could hear a crackling fire but we were in a room with no fireplace. The only small criticism I would offer is the directions were a little vague about how to adjust settings, proper setup without mounting, etc. Lucky for me there was a very helpful YouTube video on setup that helped immensely. Once you've heard the audio through this sound bar listening to a TV without one you'll notice the big difference it makes. I definitely recommend this product!

Auto Power feature destroys this product

The soundbar and subwoofer have decent sound - but it doesn't much matter when it doesn't work. The Auto Power feature on this device causes it to shut down at random intervals, whether set to "on" or "off" - the only two options. I have had it sent back for repair/replacement twice already and the problem persists. I'm convinced it's a problem with the model, not the actual device I received. Avoid at all costs, unless you enjoy having your sound cut off while you're watching a movie.

Sound Bar does not work after 18 months

We purchased this sound bar system in February 2014. We opted for LG based on positive reviews and with the thought that it would be most compatible with our LG smart TV. This past week, after only 18 months of use, the sound bar no longer turns on. We have tried multiple outlets and cannot power up the sound bar. The sound bar was plugged into the same surge protector power strip that powers the rest of our electronics and they are all fully functional. We are very disappointed with the quality of this product and will not purchase another LG.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The sound bar is great and the sound quality is perfect for my home. My only complaint is that it does not come with the wall mount, but otherwise very happy.

Got this for the master bedroom because I didn't want to put in a 5.1 surround system. While this sound bar is not really surround sound, and cannot truly replace a 5.1 system, for what it is, it sounds great.
Installation and setup was a breeze! It took about 10 minutes to get it up and running, that includes mounting it to the wall. Bluetooth feature works great, I have had not issues at all with it. It paired up no problem out of the box.
The sound modes are OK. They don't have a big affect on sound quality and are not going to wow you, but they are nice to have for a change.
Subwoofer sounds surprisingly good for how small it is. It will break up a little at higher volumes, but I can't complain for the price. It is well matched for to the soundbar and of course, it's wireless, so all you need to do is plug in the power cord!
The remote is small and easy to slip out of your hand, but it has a lot more functions than some of the other bars I looked at, so that is a plus.
Overall I would recommend this soundbar if you are looking for affordable quality sound, easy set up and bluetooth. If you want true surround sound you'll probably need to look at the much more expensive sound bars, or a 5.1 system.
