this full-screen dvd version alters the original theatrical aspect ratio of the movie from 1.85:1 to 1.33:1, presenting an image that is different than what was originally seen at theaters.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Well worth the money

I was very impressed with the movie version of Chicago. I loved it when I saw it on Broadway but loved it even more after seeing this movie. I was especially impressed by the performances of Richard Gere and Rene Zellweger. All the songs sound even better now that it is on Blu-Ray disc. The one problem I had was that I did not think the quality of the picture was up to par. It looked more like a DVD than a Blu-ray Disc.
What's great about it: decent Musical, great sound
What's not so great: The Picture is not that great
I would recommend this to a friend!

This was an older blu-ray and the price wasn't as cheap as I had thought. But overall very good!

One of the best films of the past 15 years and a terrific adaptation of the stage musical. This updated Bluray includes a remastered picture and upgraded sound to a 7.1 mix. However, it should be noted that a few of the extras from the previous Bluray release are missing and/or only available in Standard Definition.
