There is no reason to own this on 4K/HD...it actually looks worse on a next generation tv. I own it on DVD, blu-ray, itunes, and there is really no difference. But it is an excellent movie.

Obviously the movie itself is a classic so this review is only in regards to the picture quality. It looks good but not worth buying in my opinion if you already own the movie in blu ray. I have an LG c6 OLED and I've been far more impressed by the passive 3D movies than any of my UHD experiences so far.

I have a Lg oled 4k TV and a brand new Samsung 4k 8500 blu-ray player, the is a poor movie not even close to 4k quality, the blu-ray copy looks amazing, wish I never bought the 4k movie, waste of money
