Stopped working after 13 months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really did love this microwave. The popcorn button was awesome for my kids. I liked the kitchen timer. However, it stopped working right after our warranty expired. Tried to replace it, thinking we may have just gotten a lemon, but they no longer make the same model.
Pros: Features/Settings, easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

High Quality Microwave

My previous microwave lasted only 2 years. Each use represents only a few minutes and then I unplug. I figured it out and that means that I got around 4 days of constant use. Seems like it should last longer than that. That is basically why I invested in this product, hoping that it would have longer life. I like the total metal inside - no cardboard panels over the vent. I wish that the text on the control panel was more distinct from its background. That would improve the product considerably and make it easier for those with vision problems to use. That seems like a simple fix so I am puzzled that it has not yet been addressed. It is definitely easy to keep clean and has sufficient power.

I love my new microwave, except the easy clean interior is dark, consequently, not easy to see spills, etc. Also the start button is difficult to see because of the background where it is.

Sensor is not what I expected.

The sensor cooking buttons appear to be simply timers and are virtually worthless. No "re-heat" button. The lower "number" panel should be lighted, as many others have suggested.
Other than that, it cooks well and is fast. Just a little difficult to program.
I'd still buy it again and will probably learn to program it better.

A POWERFUL BEAUTY

This Stainless Steel LG Microwave is beautiful as well as very powerful and easy to use. The ceramic interior is very easy to clean and the exterior can be cleaned with just a wipe. It is very sturdy and well made. I am now considering other LG major appliances for my kitchen.

The keyboard and features for the most part are self explanatory and intuitive. I am glad all you have to do for most uses is just hit the number buttons for the amount of seconds you want your food to cook and press start. Simple. The instant-on button is really handy, too. I love just hitting it once or twice and not even having to push "start." It has good power for fast heat-ups. If you want a basic, unconfusing oven, this is it.

Great Microwave for my space

I was limited for size, and found that this unit fit the bill. The microwave looks nice and is easy to keep clean. The features are great, it does everything I need it to do, and has a nice stainless steel interior also. This is my first LG microwave so I am hoping it will hold up to our families use. The unit is quiet when operating.
