This is a good tablet. I fulfills my need for a bigger screen than my galaxy phone. Its excellent for writing and research.
Pros: Inexpensive, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight

The galaxy tab 4 is well...the galaxy tab 3, with a better feel. And that better feel makes a big difference. You would think that It wouldn't but as far as the tablets it does. The Tab 4 just feels better in the hand to type view media play games heck even right reviews. But other than that it is just another tablet and that is ok, when you get a tablet you are not getting it to be more than a media power house small enough to not bother others around you but big enough for them to be envious of you. But if you are looking for something more than that sorry my friend you might be looking in the right place but the wrong line.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, great feel, better camera features, wonderful display, powerful
Cons: glitches

Not able to put much on the SD card and it affects the performance. If you load too many apps that cannot go to the SD card then it goes on the tablet and it really affects the performance.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: not enough storage

its functions wonderfully. its not the fastest unit ever but it does easily get the job done and the battery life is great.
my only gripe with it is that it still has not been updated to lollipop to match my other devices.
Pros: Inexpensive, Built-in speakers, Lightweight, great battery life
Cons: has not received update since 2014

Constant restarts of tablet have caused me to stop using it.

I normally love Samsung products. My first computer monitor for a Apple II was a Samsung monitor. I tend to only buy Samsung TV's .Their computer monitors are the first ones I'll look at. Also my blue ray player is a Samsung. So when I went to buy my first android tablet I went for a Samsung. I love the size of this table. And it's cellular reception on the AT&T network is great, at times much better then my Iphone. But after a year of use the unit started to reboot if I wasn't directly using it. At first it wasn't too big of a deal. Maybe once in a day. Now it constantly reboots. I've had it reboot on it's own 15 to 20 times in a hour. I've followed the steps recommended. I've set it back to factory default with no micro sd card. And it still keeps rebooting. Which also means the battery life has dropped to just a few hours. Where it use to last a full work day before needing a charge now it has to stay plugged in to keep recharging. Overall not my best experience with Samsung. It has made sure that I won't be looking at other Samsung mobile devices. This is one of the few Samsung items that I can not recomend.
Pros: Inexpensive, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, good signal pickup on cell network
Cons: poor battery performance, included applications that you can't remove.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My first tablet, and it's a great experience!

This is my first tablet and I am very impressed. I mainly use it for games, but it's great for watching Netflix in bed when I don't feel like watching TV in the living room. I'm still a little old school when it comes to browsing the internet, so I use my Samsung Chromebook for that, but the tablet does just fine as well. The battery life is insane on this thing. I'm not a heavy user, but it takes me almost 3-5 days to kill the battery. That's crazy. It's very easy to use, great screen resolution. The camera could be a little better, but I'll never take pictures with it. I have the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge + for that. Can you tell I'm a Samsung fan? Haha, their products are just top notch, no reason for me to buy any other brand!
