I had a galaxy note 10.1 before my new tab, and i am satisfied over all. I can not which one is faster, but i can tell the tab is much lighter because it is smaller. To me, 8 inches is better size.
Pros: Inexpensive, Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def

Very fast but they fingerprint feature could've been added,overall not as special as it should've,missing a lot of s6 new features
