I received a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 when upgrading my Galaxy Note Edge to the new Note 5. I have found the tablet to be convenient and useful. It's the perfect size for slipping into my messenger bag pocket, the battery lasts all day for me and it has all the regular Android and Samsung features I love. Great camera and supporting software also.
Pros: Inexpensive, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: needs better speakers/front facing

I got this tab after getting rid of both my iPad. I was skeptical at first. But it can do so much more than my iPad could do and I am much happier.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers

Powerful, Yet a Novice Can Master!

I'm new to the 'pad' world and to the Samsung OS and interface... and this thing ROCKS! Fabulous right out of the box and gets better as I research and add apps. The learning curve is short and the clarity, colors and sound make it a joy to SKYPE, Netflix or even watch TV. Highly intuitive (I'm 60 and even I got it immediately! ;-) ). I appreciate how thin and light it is but it's amazing how long the battery lasts. I couldn't be more pleased nor could give it higher praise.
I plan to purchase a few more for my kids!
Recommend to anyone.

This tablet is user friendly and I enjoy playing the games and so do my grand children. I also like going on line with it.

This powerful tablet is just the right size for home, work or travel.
With a long life battery, vibrant screen colors, and accurate touch screen technology you really don't need anything else. I love that I can lock the screen in landscape or portrait positions. Also, having split screen abilitiy I can work and play at the same time.
I would like to be able to lock out the side buttons. I often bump them when handling the tablet but it's just a minor irritant.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, Lightweight, fits well in your hand.
Cons: i find that i often hit the side buttons
