Old tech, but you get what you pay for

Display & performance is mediocre at best, I use as a travel companion to do lite web surfing (read local e-newspaper) which is fine. The OTG usb is awesome to download images from a camera and is pretty nifty if it weren't for the OS getting in the way. I used this feature to transfer images from a camera to the cloud - which almost eliminated my need for a laptop, but the issue is that once I select a set of images to transfer, the OS uploads in a random sequence, losing the original chronological time stamp of the photos. The OS does not give the ability to sort by name (all images created by a camera are named in sequence). Short story, it just messes up the chronological order of photos. Also, if you are not aware, it moves the photos instead of copying, so the images are not on the sd card after the transfer....
But aside from the small nit, it is adequate. Again, the display is not great and the performance is nothing to write home about. Battery life is awesome (sometimes you need it while waiting for some apps to open :) )
I also use the Bluetooth to connect to a soundbar to stream music through the Tab and that is also pretty nice.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, good battery
Cons: Not high def

I recently upgraded from the galaxy tab 3 and I wasn't expecting there to be much differences but I have been impressed with my galaxy tab 4 I have no lag issues I had experienced before the tablet it self feels like it has a more quality build to it and the display is beautiful ... I love my galaxy products and the fact that the tab and my s6 can sync information together with out any issues ! I would defiantly recommend it to anyone looking for a inexpensive tablet that will leave you happy at the end of the day.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, Lightweight, great processer

I absolutely love my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 it has everything that I could want in it plus more. I have had my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 for a couple of months now because my other Samsung Tab quit working and nobody could pay me to ever go back to the old Tab. This Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 loads faster, has longer life battery, better picture, better sound, just better everything. I would recommend this to my worst enemy just because it's such a WONDERFUL Tab. I honestly can not come up with one bad thing to say about it.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, Lightweight, great picture, great sound, fast loadability.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love my Galaxy Tab 4!

This is my second Galaxy Tab. I previously owned a Galaxy Tab 3 which I gifted to my son when I bought the newer version. I owned the 8" versions of both which is a very convenient size. It fits in my purse. It's lightweight. It's perfect for browsing the Internet or reading books. I love that I can screen mirror with it to my Samsung smart TV. It's perfect for everything I do! I also own two Samsung 10" tablets (Galaxy Note and Galaxy S), but I use the 8" tablet much more frequently. Highly recommend!

The tab I own has a lot of great features, however I find it difficult to accept that the features on some of the hardware are outdated items that most cell phones won't even come with except the really cheap ones, one main example would be the camera and its lack of a flash. If I'm going to use this more than my phone it has to wow me with the features that even cell phones use, such as a flash. Aside from that, the overall design of the outer shell is below par in my opinion. The back plate is very slick and the camera is protruding out away from the back plate, leaving it vulnerable to being damaged. Both of these "design flaws" appear to be nothing more than am attempt to set one up for failure of you own one of these tabs. However, upon reaching this conclusion, I haven't left out any of the great features it has, such as the remote ir blaster and the really seamless streaming, both to and from the tablet. I'd say overall, a good tablet. Not great though especially from what I've come to expect from Samsung as a whole.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, great speed and battery life
Cons: very slick surface on back plate., camera protrudes from the back plate., no flash on camera.

This Galaxy Tab is just like having a large phone with all the same cool features and more. I enjoy having the larger screen yet not too big and cumbersome. This Tab was such a great value and I would recommend it to all my friends. Awesome product.

Has great features and pretty fast. It's easy to use ,even my son plays games on it. The camera could be a little better quality. But I love it for my books.
