Good But...

Quite and efficient but not enough water unless you use the 'Extra water' button. A set of sheets went through the entire wash/rinse cycle and the center formed an air bubble and was dry/unwashed. Also you need to "trick" the machine to add a dry bleach product like Oxyclean by adding Oxyclean to the tub then start machine, let it fill with water, THEN add cloths.
Kind of silly not to have thought about dry bleach products that you don't want to add on top of your clothing.

Does not rinse well

nice machine, but these new high efficiency washers don't fully submerge the clothes and the water never goes through a strainer to remove any debris like the old style washers. The result is that you get a lot of lint and other debris that never gets rinsed away.
Pros: Performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the big tub plus all of the options I have for the different loads. I just throw everything in and set for my load and it is ready to go. It is so quite and it lets me know when the load has been washed. The system is also very easy to operate- you load everything then select the type of wash cycle that you want and press the start button. Everything comes very clean and I really like the big tub for washing blankets, comforters and bedspreads. I have 2 dogs and so we have lots of hair on everything- I recently washed my blankets and lots of dog hair was removed.

This washer is deceivingly simple

I don't usually rate things like this till I've had them for at least a year but this washer works so well I had to this time. It's the quietest washer I've ever owned and absolutely no issues with balance. Very easy to operate
and I like the vent option on the lid so the machine can dry out when not in use.

Really large item capacity

I especially like that this product allows me to wash a king sized comforter in it without tearing it at all.
There is no rubber seal to worry about with mold either...these were huge selling points for me.
This also has a 10 year warranty!

Big disappointment

I thought that I was getting a top of the line washer but have been very disappointed with this washer. It does not clean well, is rough on the clothes as they rub against each other without much water - some items not even getting wet until late in the cycle. I always use the extra water feature and even then it is not enough to clean well. Our towels are getting dingy and are not soft like they should be. My laundry now completes in a mass of wrinkles! I always try to use low spin when the cycle allows it but low spin is not available on cotton/normal, which is the cycle I would most frequently use. I was hoping after a few months use I would be happier with it but I am not.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This unit is amazing

My wife and I love our new washer and dryer. This pair is sleek and user friendly. My wife has been wanting a top loader after having a front loader for 6 years. The sheer capacity and cleanliness you receive with each wash is amazing. I would definitely recommend this washer to anyone with a large family.

Beautifully designed Hugh tub washer. I love that I can now do my comforters at home. Its amazing how little he detergent it takes to make the clothes so clean. Thank You LG, I got a great product, actually two as I got the dryer was well, at a great price!
