Door and handle started to crumble

This microwave is in our 2nd home and less than 5 years old. this is what happened while popping a bag of popcorn. Good thing I was standing right next to microwave.

This was a great microwave until it shorted out due to the rack that came with it shorted it out. Awesome item. Seems like all the good product, is being pushed out. Need the same quality in this new stuff being made today.

Fire Beware

For 10 years this has worked great with the exception of a curious melted spot on the upper left of the center circular top panel. It was purchased new so I don't know when or why that would have occurred. This morning I was cooking 3 slices of turkey bacon, 1 minute each, covered, I smelled burning plastic and thank goodness I was in the kitchen because my whole home could have burned down. I glanced in the microwave window and the whole circular top plate was aflame. I put it out fire and searched for recalls and saw none on this model. I am a clean freak, so no, it was not grease or a dirty oven. I thought I would give this 2 stars because it served well for years but only 2 because of the potential fire hazard. I see someone else was kind enough to post the same issue.

Beware

The microwave looks good but after few years of use , it spontaneously started on fire while warming up food . I am extremely meticulously when it comes to cleaning after use so no issue of potential grease . I had to put out the fire and saw that the plastic plate on top melted and the stench of burn of electrical still lingers .

It does not have a much power as I am use to. The vent fan is so loud even on low that you cannot hear people talk
