makes alot of noise when running

The door always shuts when you are putting stuff in it and it make so much noise when running you can't hear the TV.

Cheap and noisy

We have had this microwave for six months. It heats up food, period. The rotating platter makes noise, a sort of low moaning. But the major problem, which is just poor design, is the deafening noised of the vent fan. We live near a military airbase and the fan is louder than the F-18s taking off. We have to stop talking in the kitchen if it is on, (which is now basically never). Ridiculous. I guess the designer never turned the contraption on! Duh!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This worked well for about 20 months until it stopped working the the middle of popping pop corn. Complete power failure and no longer works. Was always loud to begin with but did the job. Would buy another brand next time.

This is our second GE microwave..and its better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ..its better than our first GE microwave..It heats faster and cooks foods more evenly. Plus it boils water in less than 3 minutes. My only problem..the high lip on the turntable. ..the glass is fragile. and breaks .I placed food in my ceramic bowl and heated for a minute and the bottom of the dish caught the edge of the glass turntable, and CHIPPED out and good size hunk of glass from the edge.. LIFT YOUR DISHES OUT TO PREVENT BREAKAGE.

Great microwave!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has great features. However, we had to hire a professional to install it, after my husband and I failed when we tried to install it ourselves. Other than that, I think it's an excellent microwave!

Great for motorhomes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We searched high & low for a microwave that we could mount in our motorhome that had the air flow ducts coming out the FRONT and not the TOP because it has to be mounted tight against the slideout overhang. We saved a lot of money by buying one at a big box store and not from an RV outlet. Had to make a few installation modifications to secure it to the overhang, but it works great so far. Only one complaint, the metal shelf grate inside is too low to put some of my bakeware dishes with lids, so I removed the grate & stored it (don't use it anyway).
I would recommend this to a friend!
