We bought this product in mid 2010, using it very sparingly. Within 14 months the microwave would not stop running (probable fan problem) unless we left the door open or unplugged the appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was given this as a Birthday present 14 months ago and have loved it but is stopped heating yesterday.

I know this was a lesser brand and price point, but I did however expect it to last longer than 4 years. GE product line used to stand for quality and dependability, now it seems they have gone by the way of "low price sells" instead of good quality sells.

My microwave quit heating too. I see by other reviews it is a common problem for this model. Is there any recourse with GE to replace this model?
