weak loud and very disapponting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the microwave fan and just eve using is too loud and the door closes too loud. also it heats too unevenly and too slow to heat up. Had the fan fixed but it is still too loud it is headache inducing. very dissapointed

Our new condo has a ton of them in the garbage, keypad stops working after a couple of months.

In my new condo building (200+ units) were all outfitted with this GE microwave. They let you choose the white or black model at the time of purchase.
Months later In our garbage room, I'm always seeing one or two of these GE Microwaves in the trash!?! I plugged a few of them in the past and noticed that the microwave seems to work except half the buttons or so on the keypad don't work any more...
Today just my luck ,the same has happened to me! Most keys on the keyboard don't work now... just had it over 2 years...
Since I've seen so many in the trash, I would not recommend this Microwave to anyone...
I'm disappointed that I have to change this appliance after such a short time. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
GE please step up and better this product and support your customers.

This microwave is currently not working......

Not happy with this microwave at all! Purchased in October, 2011 and had the "motherboard" replaced after only 4 months of use. Just yesterday it stopped working again! I've had less expensive countertop microwaves that lasted far longer than this one! I probably have to buy a new microwave now and hope that I don't have to put more holes in my tiled wall in order to secure it. Lost all but the microwave to Hurricane Sandy. Repurchased my fridge, dishwasher and range and was grateful my microwave was spared....only to break down on it's own again. Very, very disappointed!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased product to replace another GE micro. Thought it would fit the original holes but it did not. Fan is noisy and runs every time the micro is on. POOR design. Also the door door latch does not connect at times. The appliance will run but not heat. Very frustrating. Think this a lemon except for the fan running.

I purchased a new double wide that had all GE appliances.After using the microwave vent-a-hood for less than a month it quit working. It was repaired under warranty, but the technican said it would fail again because there wasnt enough air circulating across the thermstats to keep them cool. it has not quit again YET, but it sure does make some awful noises. The other appliances so far have been great.

PRODUCT STARTED FALLING APART 10 MONTHS AFTER MFG DATE!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Less than six months after I purchased my GE microwave the paint inside the oven started peeling. After contacting customer serice (And THAT's a whole other kettle of foul smeloing fish!) I discovered that the microwave had actually been manufactured less than a year prior to the date of my call and less than four months prior to my purchasing it. Mediocre product, abysmal quality control. Trust me when I say, I will never own another GE product ... EVER!

Great looking microwave, performs well BUT the exhaust fan is VERY loud. Too bad you can't try the product first....also no difference between low and high selection.

Replaced previous microwave with this GE over the range model. I like that there is a button to stop the revolving feature so I can use a large rectangular dish. It is very easy to operate. The defrost feature works really well. Overall a very good microwave.
I would recommend this to a friend!
