I bought this to replace the same model that lasted 12 years expecting it to last more than 3 years. The old one lasted through 2 teenagers and their friends as well as my husband and me. This one was replaced after the kids were grown and my husband passed away so I was the sole user. I was shocked when it quit heating after 3 years. Now I need to check on repairing or replacing it and having to bother my son and son-in-law to install this one over my range. I am not happy.

After 14 months this microwave died! (Conveniently after a 1 year warranty!) Would not recommend purchasing this to anyone!

Very disappointed

This model was an upgrade offered through our builder. We have 3 years of use into the microwaves and the control panel has already gone out and we are having to replace the entire unit. We had continuous problems with the vent not being strong enough and the lack of power to cook food was always surprising. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this product due to these factors.

We had a JVM1540DN1WW with extended 2 yr warranty. Stopped working at 26 months. We replaced with this and it lasted almost 4 yrs. Same symptoms like something loose inside. Programming on keypad and it stopped working. Unplugged and tried again. Same thing. XXXXX come up on keypad and dies. Saw where general lifetime is 24-36 months. Guess we were lucky getting 47 months.

This was used in a household with only 2 adults and died in under 5 years. The part needed to fix cost as much as a new unit. very dissappointed in GE.

This product has door problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The door on this microwave does not open smoothly. It cause you to have to pull hard and makes you wonder if the latch will break soon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tray does not move all the time and when it does it's noisy. I found the ceramic piece the connects the motor to the glass tray appears to be malformed and does not connent the two. All the other features seem to work properly.
