We purchased our home in 2011 and the over range microwave was already installed. It worked fine up until a few months ago. I was cooking and smelled smoke. In the top of the microwave, it was smoking and the plastic was melting. Thank God it didn’t catch on fire.

This product has door problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The door on this microwave does not open smoothly. It cause you to have to pull hard and makes you wonder if the latch will break soon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tray does not move all the time and when it does it's noisy. I found the ceramic piece the connects the motor to the glass tray appears to be malformed and does not connent the two. All the other features seem to work properly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased thus microwave 2 years ago was very disappointment in the longevity of this microwave. I purchased this microwave for my home 2 years ago it no longer works. I have been very pleased with GE appliances in the past but not this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like the style and performance of the microwave. It would be a plus to reduce the noise level. Had I known just how loud it was, it may have influenced my decision to buy this model.

Loud!

This microwave was installed by the builder in 2012. We purchased the house late in 2016. The microwave is so loud when it runs and the vent is so loud also.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

easy to install, easy to operate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not like to study a manual to operate a product, this product has quick start buttons so I can do my popcorn or a simple reheat. I also purchased it because it vented form the front, not up the front of the cabnets.
