[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this microwave to replace our original over the stove model, and had little choice due to the size restrictions. This model has the same functions, so it felt like the old model, but with the new stainless look. The negatives: the vent turns itself on whenever anything is cooking on the stove, and turns itself off when it senses less heat (?) Not too bad, because it hasn't stayed on much longer than a few minutes. The other feature that works just slightly different is that when you want to add 30 seconds to any cook time, pushing the add-30 seconds is delayed for a second or two before it will allow you to add the time to the time already entered. Just a small thing, but I miss it! The display died the first month we had it, but GE repair replaced the part, and the service was outstanding.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is nicely designed. It looks nice. It feels solid. The auto-time buttons are great (just push "3" and it automatically starts at 3 minutes). The only thing that bothers me is that when it is done it beeps once, then it beeps every thirty seconds or so until you open it or clear it. I have little kids and often can't get to the micro right away so it can be annoying that it keeps beeping. That's the only complaint I have. Otherwise, I'm very happy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This replaced a microwave we had for 11 1/2 years. It works great, easy to use. I only gave four stars bacause the only feature missing is that it does not beep after the time cooked so you know the food is ready. Other than that this is a great microwave for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first one I GE microwave I bought had a busted mounting bracket and in about 2 days GE sent out a contractor and installed a new one for me. The microwave works great, even heat, and it looks great in my kitchen. Will definitely look into buying more GE appliances!

adequate Replacement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the only model that would replace my prior built in GE microwave. The older model heated food more quickly and had many more built in options and one touch cooking options. This is an adequate replacement, but not nearly as functional as my old microwave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are satisfied overall with the performance of our over-the-range GE microwave. It heats food evenly and does it very quickly. It also LOOKS GREAT with our GE Profile range! Our only concern is that when closing the door to the microwave, it seems a little flimsy and noisy. Perhaps that design keeps the unit lighter in weight which is a plus when installing.
