Flaw #1 broiler should be in bottom oven. Totally ridiculous in top oven.
Flaw #2 plastic control panel heat from oven vents out just below panel, so if you are using both oven and stove heat is force up across panel which causes plastic face to crack off . Looking for replacement for

Don't Buy! Can't hold a temp!
on December 18, 2023
Posted by: WyomingElly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Built our home in 2015 and thought we had chose an excellent gas oven. For the last two years, the F19 code flashes and the only way to preheat the bottom oven is to first start the top oven. Oven thermometers are a must since I have to constantly adjust the temperature so as to keep it correct. The oven cannot hold a temp. The knobs all started peeling within a couple years and the fake stainless steel covering chipped off. The final blow is simply a design fail -- the center grate cover is a great idea. However, you can't use the side burners effectively with it on and so you have to continually take it on and off. All in all, very disappointed and won't purchase LG again. Make sure you confirm that there are local appliance repairmen who will work on LG ovens before purchasing. We didn't and so have to live with a broken oven.

We're deeply concerned that our resolution to your issue did not meet your expectations, and we weren’t able to demonstrate how much you mean to us. As much as we hate to see you go, we understand that an F19 error code must’ve caused a lot of inconvenience on your end. We apologize again for all the trouble caused and wish you all the best. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. ~Tanisha

Good product: only shortcoming is the griddle heat
on December 11, 2014

I have had this product for about a month.
Pro: good control design & logic; professional appearance; good lighting in ovens; good interior color
Con: as built, center griddle underpowered - see below
Shortly after I got this range I discovered that the center griddle did not have enough heat. In the first service call service tech. measured the griddle temperature. Maximum measured 285 f. Between the first and second service call I bought the nozzle with the part number that matched the left front power burner (not the super burner at right front. This nozzle is rated at 12,000 btu/hr. The as built center griddle nozzle is rated at 8,000 btu/hr. When replaced, the griddle temperature measured about 400 f. max. The ideal temperature for pancakes is 375 f. I now get this at about "5" on the dial.
I like the controls and displays. It is easy to see which ovens are on, in what mode and what temperatures.
The lower oven flashes the oven light to indicate preheat is reached and cook time expired. The upper oven timer is a little too quiet to hear in another room.
I checked the temperatures of both ovens. Both initially overshot the set temperature but settled back quickly.
BTW, if the calibration of oven temperature is off, you can re-set it per instructions in the manual.
RECOMMENDATION: Change the specification and the factory installed nozzle of the center burner to 12,000 btu/hr. The larger nozzle is completely safe, in fact the flame is less than the left front which has the same rating but a smaller size burner. Even with the larger nozzle the flame under the griddle is all under the griddle, not extending beyond the griddle.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, griddle fine as modified

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 2 1/2 years ago the worst appliance I ever purchased. I knobs melt from the heat when you take food out. It does not clean well at all. Very disappointed in the quality of this stove

Not user friendly.

There is is heat protector that sticks out 1 1/2 inches over rear grates preventing me from centering my pots and pans over the burner thus pots stick out over front burners creating dangerous cooking hazard to me and anyone near the stove.
Pros: Features/Settings
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

just one great oven
on November 14, 2013

to start, this is a pleasing oven to look at. it is easy to maintain and use. i live by myself so the upper oven is what i usually use, unless the kids come over, then the lower one is perfect for larger meals. i am hosting turkey day this year, and come from a large family, so i am looking forward to having this oven available to use. it will get a workout, and i am sure that everything will come out perfect, especially with the available convection oven option and large burners.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Great, except!

Love it except for:
Buzzer not loud enough. Have it set on 'H' and can't hear it 25 feet away.
Black stove top collects everything and anything, even dust.. Nightly ritual to remove grills, wipe with damp cloth, and dry with microfiber towel. But then it glistens and draws positive comments for appearance. Not really that much of a neat freak!
Pros: Performance
