Very Good Refrigerator

We've had our new LG french door fridge for about a month now and love it. The only thing I would change about it would be to create large shelves in the doors - the doors on the left are quite skinny leaving you enough room to put a few small to medium size bottles in it. The shelves on the right hand door are large and deep and that's really nice. We love the ice make - quieter than our other fridge, love the alarm if you leave a door open, too long. Don't understand though why you can't get ice or water on the left door if the right hand door opens....but we'll adjust. It's a really nice fridge and I think we'll be loving it for a long time. And PS the fruits and veggies stay fresher much longer in this one than our other fridge (which was only 6 yrs old). That's a really nice bonus in my family

I LOVE this refrigerator!

We've had this refrigerator for about 13 months now. I can't express strongly enough how awesome it is.
1. I really love how spacious it is. I had TWO 12 lb turkeys thawing inside it before Thanksgiving plus all the usual food that's in there. Unreal space!
2. My husband especially appreciates that there are two ice makers.
3. It's so bright inside.
4. The freezer is enormous. (Unfortunately there isn't a photo of it on this website though.)
5. We purchased it in white and it's lovely (I've had stainless appliances before and they are always a mess on the outside).
6. This appliance is SUPER QUIET because of the linear compressors. We have open kitchen/dining/living room and you can not hear the refrigerator whatsoever except the occasional ice dropping if the TV is off and house is quiet.
7. The drawers are well thought out & just the right sizes. The wide bottom drawer inside the fridge is just tall enough to fit Yoplait yogurt cups upright without touching the tops of the cups.
8. There is the cutest little shelf on bottom of the right-hand door just under the "milk shelf" (it isn't pictured on this website). It's a tiny little thing but handy for small bottles like 3.5" tall lemon and lime squeeze bottles, 5.75" tall liquid hickory flavor bottle, etc.
If we ever need another refrigerator, this is what we WILL get. It's perfect.

Bad compressor AGAIN

Unit is 5 years old compressor went bad 2 years ago. And here we are AGAIN. Compressor is only 2 years old and bad again. WORST PRODUCT EVER. And all my appliances are LG.....sucks for me

Great features but 55 weeks after purchase.......

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thirteen months ago bought this refrigerator and all is great until week 55 (3 weeks after warranty expires) and the ice maker springs a leak. Am currently on phone trying to get info on what to do with LG. One cool feature is the refrigerator will run a diagnostic and "talk" to the technician on the phone. We had another LG refrigerator 5 years ago and the icemaker died after less than 2 years, but otherwise loved the refrigerator (reason we purchased a second one for our new home). Clearly the icemakers are the weak link in an otherwise great product.

Bad compressors in LG refrigerators!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator's compressor went bad after only 14 months. I have been without a refrigerator for over a week, and when the repair man came today to replace the compressor we discovered the replacement compressor was also bad. From what I've read online this is a very common occurrence with LG refrigerators.

Awful Product and Gross Misrepresentation

I bought two LG refrigerators for my new house in 2015. In January 2018, the compressor on the first one failed. The website indicated that it was no longer under warranty, so we bought a replacement refrigerator (not an LG!). Today the second LG failed. Again, I went through the steps on their customer service website and again it indicated it was no longer under warranty. But while trouble-shooting, I noticed in the owners manual that the warranty covers parts and labor on the compressor, as well as several other components, for FIVE years! LG sells an inferior product and then tries to convince their customers that their warranties have expired when they haven't! THIS IS FRAUD!

HOLY FRUSTRATED

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge 3 years ago now and I am having problem after problem. My upper freezer keeps leaking and causing a huge ice block to form which prevents ice from dispensing. I bought the ice maker and replaced the old one with the new one about 2 weeks ago and guess what I found today, ANOTHER FRIGGIN ICE BLOCK!
I don't even know what is going on at this point.
The bottom freezer drawer is made of chinese plastic apparently too because the side have broken completely. While trying to remove the upper ice tray, the ice that was locking it into place caused the ice tray to break from me trying to pull it out and now I have to replace that too.
I'm about ready to buy another fridge and it WON'T be LG if I do.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I LOVE this fridge!!

This refrigerator is awesome! Not only is it classy and beautiful, but it is quiet, functional and huge. The dual ice maker feature is a must. We entertain often and have not had to run to the store to get a bag of ice since we've had this fridge. The layout of the inside is convenient and super spacious. I highly recommend this!
