This set up is NOT for those who think they are going to carry around and put their rear surround speakers in any place they want like a cordless phone. This is NOT a true wireless setup. No such thing exist for rear channel 5.1 surround setups. This setup is for those want to get rid of the wires stuck underneath carpet or along the side of walls to speakers in the back of their living "theater" rooms. You will have wires from your rear speakers to the transmitter and the transmitter requires power from an ac outlet. My set up for the last 5 years has been speaker wire running along the baseboard and carpet to the rear speakers in the back that are sitting on top of a buffet. Now the eye soars are gone. I was going to get the $250 Bose wireless setup until I found out I had to get a $700 to $3000 Bose system for the wireless setup to work. The $100 Rocketfish work great. I cannot tell the difference in my 5.1 surround sound system from my old wired setup. And NO they do not interfere with my wireless network. I am a very happy camper.
What's great about it: Easy setup, sounds good, great price compared to Bose
What's not so great: They didn't come out with this years ago

It took a long time to find this product. It runs off any tuner. We recently removed our carpet and had wood floors refinished. I love having no wires across the ceiling or strung along the baseboard. This system did not disappoint in any way.
What's great about it: Excellent sound
What's not so great: Surround wires are short but easy to replace.

The Universal wireless kit works well and is easy to set up, I settled on a suround system that didn't have wireless rear speakers and this saved me from going down in the crawlspace and running wires. The only downside is because I have the receiving unit under my sofa it would have been easier to turn it off and on if the the buttion was at the front.
What's great about it: I din't have to go in the crawlspace and run wires for the rear speakers
What's not so great: On/off button should be on the front

Great solution for my home where I had no way to get wires from the surround receiver to the surround speakers. This is one of the few products that the transmitter will connect to the speaker output jacks of the receiver.
What's great about it: Not having to run wires from the surround reciever to speakers.
What's not so great: Didn't come with a pair of speakers.

This is a very good value for the price. I hooked the unit up within 5 minutes and it worked perfectly right away. I haven't noticed any delay time with the sound, and the volume of the back speakers is easy to adjust to your liking. Every once in a while there is a loud pop sound that comes out of the speakers. Not sure why the unit transmits that, but it's pretty rare and not too noticeable. I usually have to remember to turn the back unit off (the front unit is plugged in to my receiver, so it turns off automatically when the receiver turns off) since the red light on the unit blinks constantly, and it's a relatively bright light. Kind of a minor annoyance, but it would be nice if the unit had a sleep mode rather than just blinking all of the time.
What's great about it: Easy set up, can hide it away easily, good price
What's not so great: A small "pop" sound sometimes, bright blinking light when not in use

I bought this kit to power my rear surround speakers where I cannot use a wired connection. I was impressed by the simplicity of use and that I could my current rear speakers making it an excellent choice. Only issue is that when they are on, the signal interferes with the wireless network reception on my BluRay player. So when I can use it works beautifully!
What's great about it: Simple to setup, supports my desired speaker choice
What's not so great: RF signal interferes with some WiFi
