I bought this for my rear surround speakers to avoid having to run wire. It was easy to set up and worked as advertised. The power is a little on the low side but for rear speakers it's enough. Be advised you will still need to run wire from the wireless receiver to your speakers but that's really to be expected. For the money it's a good deal.

Although the first unit I purchased developed a "popping" sound out of one side of the receiver, Customer Service got right on it and ordered another unit. This unit works flawlessly and delivers, as promised. I will purchase another one for my 2nd theater system. It is just so much easier than trying to hide the wiring. Very satisfied.

I wanted a wireless connection for the back channels of my home theater, so I asked a Best Buy employee in my local store for a recommendation. He suggested this Rocketfish unit and I've been very happy with the performance. This was my first encounter with wireless speaker technology and I found it very simple to connect and use. If you want to avoid running long speaker wires to the back channels of your home theater system, this unit will do the job for you for low cost and no sacrifice of sound quality. I'm really glad I bought it!

This product is a fantastic product if you're using a low powered home theater in a box (HTIB). However, if you're using floor standing units, decent bookshelves, or a mid/high end set of speakers with any impedance; this is NOT a a good product as it will clip your speakers terribly.
What's great about it: Ease of use, and wireless ability

I am very pleased with this unit after using it for two weeks. It worked exactly as advertised and seems to be working flawlessly. I'm using it with my rear surround speakers in my 5.1 surround setup. My living room is on the small side and I would estimate that my TV and front speakers are about 15 feet from my rear speakers. I have no Wi-Fi or portable phone interference whatsoever but the nearest Wi-Fi router is about 40 feet away and these units are only separated by about 15 feet.
I had no problem balancing the surround sound on my Yamaha high-powered receiver after setting the volume control on this device's amplifier to full. I then used my amplifier's surround settings volume controls to balance everything out.
The only minor drawback to this unit is the relatively low power output (30 watts RMS per channel) when my Yamaha receiver puts out 200 watts RMS per channel. I was still able to balance the sound though and so far, I have not heard any clipping or distortion coming from the rear speakers at the volume levels that I listen to movies at.
Overall, this is a no-brainer purchase at this price for anyone that needs a wireless rear amplifier to listen to movies or music at moderate (normal) levels of volume.
If you have a very large room, a theater, or like to listen at levels that will cause temporary hearing loss, divorce proceedings, or police calls by neighbors, then you may want to spend more money and get a higher powered model or just drill holes in your floors and hard-wire your speakers.
What's great about it: Easy setup; Works Exactly as Advertised

For some time, I was looking to find a way to add rear speakers to my family room without running wires across the room. I have a nice audio system connected to my TV, great speakers and wanted the "surround" effect when watching movies, etc. This kit did the trick. No problems since install about a month ago. Initially, I discovered I had it connected backwards with the larger unit connected to my receiver - but it is the smaller unit that sends, the larger unit that receives. Once I figured this out, no problems. I am really enjoying the sounds in my newly re-carpeted and re-painted family room that can now be filled with surround-sound from my wireless rear speakers.
