It's a good product but something you might not consider about a wireless home theater Rear Speaker Kit (RSK) is the watts and ohms for your speakers and it's limited. My speakers can with stand the watts and ohms but the RSK can't so i have to turn the volume down on the back of the RSK so that when I turn my amp real loud it avoids a popping sound. It's good with home theater package systems with 1,000 watts spread among the speakers but not so good when running from an actual receiver.
What's not so great: Is the amount of power it can with stand.

I tried to hook up the system and never got any sound from the rear speakers. I tried each troubleshooting step and even moved the sender and receiver in a direct line of sight within 6 ft. Never got any sound from the speakers. I tried to turn off wireless with same results. I thought the device might be faulty and exchanged for another, but got the same results. I spoke with customer service and they explained to me that the kit cannot be used in the same room as a separate wireless device (even though the manual states it will work as long as the devices are 18" apart). If your home set up has the wireless router or phone in the same room where you hope to use this, THE PRODUCT WILL NOT WORK. Good idea, poor design.
What's great about it: ease of set up
What's not so great: will not send signal if in same room with wireless router or phone

I bought this wireless system in August 2007, and have been extremely happy with it. Since I have a wooden floor and cannot hide the rear speaker wires under a carpet, I was looking for such a product for a long time. My biggest concern with other similar products was interference with wireless internet and cordless phones. I must say that I have found absolutely no trace of interference with this system. I have a 24/7 wireless internet at my home, along with a 5.8 GHz cordless phone. I have tried using both these while using the wireless system, and there's been zero interference. Two other things stood out: (1) You only need one of these for both rear speakers - the system encodes both channels on the same wireless signal and then decodes them separately at the receiver (2) The amplifier in the receiver unit adds extra power for your rear speakers. GREAT BUY!

I bought the Rocketfish™ Universal Wireless Rear Speaker Kit to hook up my Samsung rear speakers. It was $30 cheaper than the Samsung wireless kit and seems to work perfectly. It was easy to setup, and worked right away...I only had to increase the volume on the rear unit during setup so that it matched the other speakers. It now remains on so I don't have to touch it at all. I sometimes hear a small pop when I switch channels, but that could just be the speakers themselves. I have had no problems with buzzing or any other annoyance, and I use it with wireless internet, and 5.8ghz phone at the same time. Glad I bought this.

After recently getting a 5.1 surround sound theatre system, I was looking for a way to set everything up without having speaker wires running across the floor of our living room. Other than trying to avoid the bad appearance of having wires running across the floor, we were also trying to avoid damage, from people walking on them, tripping over them and having them chewed up by our dog.
After finding this Rocketfish wireless speaker kit in the store, I bought it and gave it a shot. It was extremely easy to setup and the sound quality is incredible. I haven't experienced any hum coming from the speakers at all. One thing I love about this is the independent volume dial on the amplified receiver for the rear speakers. It allows easy adjustments to the back speaker volume that can be complicated on some soundsystems.
If the price tag is holding you back, just know that for the ease and quality of this system is far better than trying to run wires under an area rug or under all of the baseboards of your room. This sounds great and keeps your room looking nice without any trouble.

If you have a system needing wireless speakers that put out less than 25 watts per channel from the receiver, this is the system for you. Unfortunately, if you have a high end receiver these are not going to work.
I hooked up this unit to my Denon receiver, and the Wireless Unit shut down every time it got a signal from the receiver. It just overpowered it.
If you have a $200 theater in a box, this is the system for you, if you have something more powerful, try the LG wireless back speaker system, it handles up to 100 watts per channel. Its not great sounding (wireless never is) but it does the trick without having trip wires in your room, or holes in your floors.
What's great about it: Easy setup, good looking unit.
What's not so great: Doesn't work with powerful surround systems.

I was looking for a way to set up rear speakers in my basement without having to run wires and this did the trick. I was skeptical because I have wi-fi in my house and was concerned about interference from it and cordless phones. I haven't experienced any interference at all...the rear sound is clear without ANY hiss (despite what I expected). I have the transmitter and receiver about 15' apart. Overall, I am very satisfied. The red Power On light on the receiver is a bit annoying, but a piece of black electrical tape solved that problem. I am using a 10 year old JVC receiver to power Infinity SM80 front speakers and JBL Balcony Series rear speakers.
What's great about it: Easy installation, cost
What's not so great: Red light on receiver

I purchased the wireless rear addition to compliment my Panasonic 1000 watt 5.1 surround sound system. It was a very good purchase, especially for the price. I was contemplating purchasing a new home theater system, to achieve wireless surround sound, but was suggested by a Best Buy employee to purchase this wireless kit. It is strongly beneficial and is perfect for an apartment.
While I have heard people complain about the sound, I personally have not noticed any sound distortion nor have I witnessed an effect on my wifi system in my place. If you want wireless and already have a home theater system, I STRONGLY recommend this product.
What's great about it: Nice Sound, No Interference, Easy Set-up.
What's not so great: Only 25W power
