I’ve used these for a couple of months, ultimately I went back to wires. The sound quality is pretty noticeable. You hear a slight hissing sound, especially since these work over the 2.4ghz spectrum it’s prone to lots of interference. Maybe if it worked over a different spectrum it would sound better.

I picked up this system to wirelessly connect my Definitive Technology ProMonitor 1000 speakers as the rear surround channels for my home theater system. I live at an apartment and did not have the capability of threading wires from the front to the rear of my room without disrupting the room. The sound quality is fine. Setup is simple. Occasionally I think there is just a millisecond or 2 of lag over the WiFi, but it has not been a problem at all and if it truly exists is barely noticeable and doesn't detract from the experience. The rear unit has a built in volume control knob which is a nice feature. If your speakers are right by the ends of the couch like mine are, this is very handy to adjust to a comfortable listening level after tuning the room.
