the unit works fine and no drilling holes or going around doorways to hide wires, but the wires for the back speakers have to be hidden .. not bad, they go down wall and behind couch from each speaker to the wireless unit... they work beautifully....we have a great setup from
Best Buy..
What's great about it: no wires all around the room
What's not so great: 2 back speakers have to be wired together & hooked to the unit, these wires you have to hide.
I would recommend this to a friend!

this is my second one after the first died after 6 years of use.
no problems, easy to hook up, set the volume level on surrrounds, I'm no audiophile but I can't tell difference from fully wired connection. $100 every 6 years not too bad.
What's great about it: plug it in, forget about it
What's not so great: it only lasted 6 years? :)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ok since you insist but above says it all... Should be priced at about half of actual but has little competition at least in your own stores. Does serve the purpose however in a low end way of picking up back channels without running wires everywhere. Would be nice if they were independent of each other.
What's great about it: No wiring from front components
What's not so great: Overpriced and somewhat thinly wired
I would recommend this to a friend!

This IS DEFINITELY the answer to "almost" wireless surround sound. I have a dog and children so the wires being stretched out accross the room to be able to have surround sound is not an option for me. It was awesome to be able to purchase a surround sound AND install it MYSELF for my husband for Christmas.
What's great about it: It was Super easy to set up.

Used this to set up additional speakers in my family room, not specifically to set up "surround" sound, but as a sound/volume source a distance from the tv. I set up the speakers thru my stereo which is connected to my tv. and I've gotten great sound and volume - not quite surround sound, but close. Much cheaper alternative to a sound bar!

great unit for surround sound system

this was recommeded to me by my son-in-law. it has allowed me to set up my surround sound system in a room where there was no way to run wires for the rear speakers without them showing. it works great, was easy to setup, allows for a very clean setup, and so far works really well. the receiver end cold be a little smaller, but it's not so big as to be intrusive. i was able to hide it next to a couch so you can't see it unless you walk all the way in and then look down at it. i highly recommend it.
What's great about it: this unit allows you to have the rear speakers working without having to run wires around your room.
What's not so great: nothing so far
