It's pricey but well worth it to get rid of those rear speaker wires on your surround sound system. If your happy with your speakers like I am and don't want to buy a new surround sound system but hate seeing wires or hate that your rear speakers are by the TV because of your wires than definitely invest in this.

Excellent wireless system for basement sound

Designed for wireless rear speakers but I am using this for wireless sound in my basement. I run it off my stereo receiver and use a simple speaker switch. Clear sound with no distortion. Distance is about 50 feet through floor and wall.

Pretty good. Minor signal loss, but never annoying

Partial basement remodel and didn’t want the extra cost to run cable thru walls and ceiling, so I needed a “wireless" solution to accommodate the equipment I already had and walls that did'nt get ripped apart. While technically not completely wireless, this product was a very good alternative. I use this product for my home theater rear speakers (KEF's) which don't require a lot of wattage to appreciate the sound quality. Aside from an occasional split-second drop out (once or twice during a 2 hour movie), the product works pretty good, especially for the price. PROS: easy setup, low cost solution for a wireless problem. CONS: Not 100% wireless (But I knew this going in)

Great for fashion conscious wives...

I bought the system because she had a big objection to speaker wires, even color coordinated wires, around the baseboard and mostly hidden behind other furniture.
I just had to have my surround sound. For heaven's sake, I have Santana/Abraxas in 5.1 DVD audio. It MUST be played.
So, wireless bluetooth was obvious.
She has no wires.
I have Santana and DosXX.
We're a happy family again.
