I got the device hooked up without a hitch. It works and sounds fine. I turned the volume all the way up on the RocketFish's rear unit and I control the volume from my reciever. Because the unit is wireless, I had to adjust the rear speaker delay to get a sound I was pleased with. The instructions for that is in the manual that comes with the unit. I tried it out the box and could not hear my rear speakers well. So I used my reciever's speaker auto setup and mic, that came with it, and adjusted the rear speaker delay. that made all the difference in the sound. I plugged the front unit's power cord into a switched power outlet on my reciever so the rocketfish unit powers off with my reciever. But I have to turn the rear unit off manually.
What's great about it: No wires
What's not so great: Limited places to use the unit

This product was easy to setup. Also bought the sanus speaker stands. They work very well. My brother in law was at my home when I set this up, he also thought the sound was excellent.
I has to write this review because it works much better than I expected. I used speakers from Cambridge Soundworks. I even got the 4 year extended protection. A home theater company was going to charge me $500.00 to run the cables for the surround speakers. For $109.00, this was a far better soultion.
What's great about it: Surround Sound is excellent
What's not so great: Noticed a pop sound, simple enough, when not in use disconnect power.

from OCOEE FLA,
I searched high and low for a product like this. And Best Buy came to my rescue with the Rocketfish. Very easy to hook up and finally no wires running all over the place and the sound quality is great! The only down fall which isnt a big deal is that the power stays on when the system is shut off. But other than that i would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to eliminate rear speaker wires.
What's great about it: no more long running wires across my living room

This may shock you, but this product actually works precisely like it is described in the specifications. One thing I noticed in reading the reviews is that the Rocketfish wireless transmitter sends its signal on the 2.4 GHz frequency, which is the same frequency used by wireless 802.11(n) transmissions. Thus, in some situations, given specific environmental conditions in your operating environment, there may be wireless interference while using this product. That being said, I have not experienced such issues so far and I have two wireless devices sitting right next to the wireless transmitted for these speakers. I bought this to send a signal from my A/V receiver to a whole different room, as a kind of work-around for second zone sound on an A/V receiver. At $80 on Black Friday for a new product (and $80 otherwise, open box) that can't be beat. Basically, I am a huge sports fan and wanted to listen to the game while I was in the shower. When I tested these out, they worked so well I had to actually use them for their intended purpose: the back two channels in a surround sound set up. Please note, if your room is set up such that you must use wireless for the side two channels as opposed to the rear two channels, this product can handle that, too. Just use your imagination. You can literally send an audio signal anywhere. This is kind of a cheap work-around for a Sonos system as it allows a set of speakers to be placed wireless in another location, not in a line of sight with the audio source, and to be controlled by the same method which controls the audio source. The sending unit and receiving unit are paired at the factory (per the instruction manual) so you do not have to mess around with pressing buttons or getting onto your router and setting IP addresses, etc. Overall, I'd recommend the product. You can have this up and running in five minutes, tops. Please note: both the sending unit and receiving unit require a power input, so mentally note the placement of your electrical outlets and be sure to plan accordingly. The unit comes with only one set of approximately 18" speaker wire, so you must have speaker wire to connect the opposite sender/receiver unit.

What's great about it: Works as intended, easy set up
What's not so great: Has a glowing blue light on the unit that will always glow as long as it is plugged in

The purpose of the this review is to provide additional information for those who may have experienced Wi-Fi degradation. I voiced my concerns at the time of purchase because of the review I had read here but was assured by the sales person at Best Buy that there should be no problem.
I was very discouraged when, after installation, I had the same problem as a previous reviewer: namely, degradation of approximately 90% based on my DSL provider's download and upload tests. Just to make certain that I would need to return it and think about running wires, I tried moving by wireless hub 5-6 feet away from the transmitting unit.
Immediately, the Wi-Fi speeds RETURNED TO NORMAL.
Hope this is helpful.
What's great about it: No wires needed
What's not so great: Watch out for Wi-Fi proximity

So I was actually going to the store to just buy some new wire and I saw this and was ecstatic! My wife didn't want wiring to be exposed all over the place from the rear speakers to the receiver and this was the perfect solution. At first I didn't have any sound to the rear speakers when I was testing it but I just had to change my receiver to the All Surround setting just to send a signal to all speaker outputs to verify that the device was working properly. Once I got the unit and the new Monster Platinum XP wire installed I was in heaven and the sound was crisp and pure. As you can see in my photos I don't have any wire moulding yet but the wires will be covered soon. I'm not sure if it matters whether the wireless receiver is up high or down low, the manual didn't specify a requirement, but at the height I have mine installed (approx. 5 feet) I've had no interference or sound issue. The sound is spot on, no delays, and works great! I love this purchase.

I really really was hoping this device would work, running wires is no fun. This device easily hooked up and worked well out of the box. If your need is just getting a little sound to your kitchen or something it is probably fine for low volume uses. or if you need just a few watts of power it would be fine. But if your need is to combine it with a surround sound system and pump any real volume through it, forget it. My system is 100 watts per channel. Every time i turned the volume up even slightly - level 18 of 100,, the unit would shut off. I guess that's a good feature to keep it from blowing up, but makes it obviously useless. At full volume on the knob it would not even come close to matching the other speakers. Sorry, this one goes back to BB. Glad they have a good return policy.
What's great about it: Simple to use.
What's not so great: Lack of power, shuts down when turning up the volume.

As advertised, out of the box and plug the units in. Pairing per instructions (although very intuitive) and you hear sound out of the speakers just like that. I am using the unit to put sound to a screened in porch - I can smoke a cigar and watch the game through the glass door - and hear everything perfect. I left the unit on for a couple of weeks and it never lost the pairing.
