I agree that this will be the best gta ever and its gonna be the best for ps3. Everyone says xbox is better but no way. Ps3 has the shiz graphics and free online, internet browser, mp3 and mpeg player, plays blu-ray dvds and you can upload photos from your camera and a whole bunch of else. This gta also takes place in my opinion the best map in the gta series: Liberty City. Its gonna be amazing.

So I am completely new the GTA franchise so with all the hype and top reviews I figured I had to pick it up. I have to say however that I am really disappointed at how this game looks. The animation looks 2nd generation and the background graphics look washed out and dull. Compared to games like "Uncharted" which has mind blowing graphics, gameplay, and a natural character movement this game seems second rate.
What's great about it: Big interactive world. Fun story line.
What's not so great: Graphics, controls, issues with AI.

I just bought this game (late by the way) but, first I watched the TV commercials and the game doesnt really look that goo, it didnt get my whole attention so yesterday when i went into the store a look at the game and it drop from $59.95 to $39.95 (most likely) so I was, ok let's get it, if i dont like it then I'll just sale it or something, but I was wrong, the game really got my attention after all, and what I like so far, is that there are so many things you can do it, that you almost forgot that's a game LOL.
I really recommend this game, and now, i cant wait for another one of this, specially with the PS3 power, graphics and realistic moves are great, now this game is $39.95 is easy to get it and have lots of fun being a gangster.

A great game for any level of gamers. I love how you can do whatever you want, but is a little frustrating that you have to play the campaign to unlock all of the map. Gives great replay value which is nice, because then it isn't one and done.
What's great about it: Game-play
What's not so great: Hard to beat with-out a few cheats

While It is true that the Xbox 360 version does have Downloadable Content on the way next year the game itself is what you need to grab no matter what system. The pros of the 360 version is the downloadable content but thats about it depending on your taste. The Playstation 3 version has softer colors making it seem more realistic while the 360 version has brighter colors making it seem a little like previous GTA's with the comic book look. in addition the Playstations version of Liberty City where the game is set is more alive than the 360's it has more people, cars and more lifelike reflections than it's 360's counter part. This comes from the Playstation 3's outstanding core processor being able to do all these things at the same time without slowing how the game looks. It all depends on your taste and how you want your GTA IV to feel.
What's great about it: Online Play, Graphics, Detail, Controls ,Everything...
