Quite the most useless installation package

This is quite the most useless installation package I have come across and that is saying something. If you are installing on a mac running Yosemite all you will get after installing the software is a 'scanner quit unexpectedly' caption. This is because, despite the write up, there is no software on the disc for Yosemite. It took me a while to find it but Epson do have a driver available to download on the web. I haven't used the scanner yet but first impressions are poor. The cables plug in at the front?? There is an afterthought sticker to tell you to hold the on/off button for 3 seconds to shut the scanner down! I do hope things get better because they can hardly get worse!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Setup procedure?

Since Epson asked for a review even before I had scanned my first image, then the review is based solely on the set up procedure at this juncture, and it is poor.
The poor review is based upon the legalese hoops one must jump through in order to complete the process. There were at least six times that I had to continue to check off that the software can be loaded, "Yes" I agree to loading it, re-enter my password, etc. Now, everybody's lawyers are happy!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Scanner

This scanner was a breeze to set up on Mac OS 10.8. It works like a charm. The picture quality is outstanding. Try it I'm sure you will like it.

Very easy to set up. Very quiet, fast. This is my first scanner. I scanned some fall leaves and it looks like a photograph! I'm having a little trouble figuring out what area is being scanned-some of the leaves got cut off. The hinged lid makes it easy to scan thicker objects.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poorly Made

I unfortunately didn't open this until after the warranty had expired...my bad. Out of the box it doesn't work. Makes loud clicking noises when scanning and makes smeared images. The side opening is a pain, too, but it doesn't matter since it doesn't work.

My goof.....I have the V37 scanner not photo. I just bought myself the scanner because my old roommate owned the one I was using and it's quality is great....had to have my own.
