I needed a good scanner to digitize old photos for a wedding presentation, and the quality of the scans from the Epson Perfection are very good. It also allowed me to scan from different media, such as paper photos and slides and negatives. A real plus. I found the built quality nice and the features well designed. The overall
machine is a great value and I look forward to using to complete my entire collection of photos.

Good Scanner for a Good Price

Recently purchased the V370 scanner from Epson, the unit was shipped quickly and arrived in excellent condition. I use it to scan transparencies and for high definition scans of 3 dimensional items for fine art photography and both uses work well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this scanner to primarily convert slides to jpeg files as well as to scan old photos. The photo scanner part works great. I can't get the slide converter to work. I'm very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A Scanner That Makes History Come Alive

I'm very happy with this scanner. Its large enough to accommodate most photo albums which has come in really handy recently. I finally got to the box full of photos from my grandparents which was sitting in my parents basement for many years. Scanning almost 1400 images took some time but the V370 made it easy as it was often able to have multiple images and scan them all at once. While I could quibble with the word "perfection" because nothing in this life is perfect it really does a more than adequate job even in the "Full Auto" mode.
I had actually gotten the V370 to scan slides as I have a large collection which I wanted to make prints from. The V370 does admirable work with slides too. It would be nice if you could do more than 4 slides at a time but again the quality of reproduction is more than satisfactory.
Another limitation of the V370 is that it only scans 35mm negatives. Since I have other size negatives than 35mm this doesn't help especially.
