I recently purchased this Dynex 400 watt power supply to replace the original in my Compaq Presario. It was easy to install and fired right up without any problems. It is very quiet and the price was reasonable.

Excellent value for the money. The fan is not too loud, and there is a convenient on/off switch to cut off power to the supply without unplugging the power cord. There are a lot of long-ish size black cords inside, which might be challenging to fit inside of your tower. So far, excellent, though I hope the supply lasts a good long while.
What's great about it: Convenient, lots of adapters
What's not so great: Too many cords, hard to fit inside the tower.

Don't expect this to be a base power supply or replacement for a high end gaming system. However, for those of us who are still using older or lower end systems, this is probably the best replacement you can get for your money. For some one on a tight budget this is the best one you can buy for repair jobs or building simple systems. The lower end Dynex power supply (which is seemingly no longer sold by Best Buy) suffered from faulty capacitors after only a few weeks of use. This power supply has lasted me over a year now without any problems. If one is in need of a cheap power supply, this is probably the best you can get until you can spring for a better power supply. Getting anything less than this will more than likely be a waste of money.
What's great about it: Cheap, fairly durable
What's not so great: Low wattage, not the cheapest

Power supply on my HP Pavilion Quad Core went down. This power supply had all of the ncessary connector (and some more that I diid not need) and fit into the HP Chassis perfectly. The cables are covered for exrra protection. Tip: Before you take out your old PS take some pics (I did it with my mobile phone) so you know where everything goes back.

I needed a PSU after mine on my Dell 4700 blew out. This unit is the exact size of my original so installation was a snap. Cables are very long so I had no problem. The only thing that took awhile was neatly running them. Total intsallation took about 15-20 minutes. As long as you label or keep track of where you pulled the connector out of a novice can do this install. Compared to similiar 400 watt units from online retailers this is a bit expensive, but I wanted to buy something locally in store just in case I ran into problems and needed to return. The larger fan keeps my case much cooler and its so much quiter than my orignal fan. 400 watts is fine for me with the system, but if you have a modified computer you may need a more powerful unit. There are online calculators that can help you find the power you need. I would be wary of pushing any Power unit to its max. Very happy with the purchase overall!
What's great about it: Powerful Fan, Easy Install, Wires Wrapped & Long

Pick this power supply up to do a graphics card upgrade on an dell 530s which only has a 250w power supply. This power supply does not fit in the slim case but I had also ordered a mid tower which this power supply fit fine in.
What's great about it: Good price, powers upgrade graphic card.
What's not so great: would have liked more description of wires in instructions
