nice fridge so so ice maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] bought this about 6 months ago. ice maker constantly jams in the chute when dispensing ice cubes. it appears that the chute is a little small for the size of the cubes. when two cubes come out together, they get stuck. does okay when dispensing crushed ice. if you want cubed ice, stay away from this fridge. fridge is a little noisy but not bad. inside the fridge is spacious for a side by side. inside lighting comes on slowly and is led. nice feature.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi Mailman74, thank you for sharing your review. I certainly hate that your ice dispenser is not working properly. Have you noticed that ice has melted and frozen around the auger? If so, remove your ice container, thaw, and empty the contents. Clean your container, wipe dry, and replace in the proper position. When new ice is made, it should dispense properly. If you notice cubes are jammed between the ice maker and the rear of your ice bin, remove the cubes. Lastly, do you notice that your cubes are small or frozen together? Good fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall this is a good fridge. I've however had a few issues - the bottom drawer on the door often falls out. Ice seems to form on the freezer and there's a delay with ice coming out. I've recently replace my air and water filters so hopefully that will help resolve the problem. The filters are expensive though!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Selected this model for our new construction only because it was part of the builder's package. Had major problems with ice "slabbing" in the ice-maker (3-5 ice cubes are frozen together). They were too large for the ice chute and would dam up and cause an error. After 6 weeks of trying various fixes, a technician came out and adjusted the water level for the ice-maker. The cubes are much smaller, but they haven't dammed up the ice chute since. BTW, the water adjustment must be done by an authorized technician or you risk voiding your warranty. Temperature control is not good. The refrigerator has many cold spots that freeze food and the freezer has ice crystals evident of freeze/thaw.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] bought about a month ago, happy with design, not so much with area to get water and ice, seems cheap the plastic that was used for pressing to obtain ice and water. I feel it could have been better more sturdy. Inside has plenty of room for us.

We love everything about it except one thing we have a problem with.... we need to be careful what we put on the top shelf of the fridge as it will freeze. I do love the fact that you don't have alot of finger print marks show up on the outside. I was constantly wiping down the outside of my other fridge.

Works fine enough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had our fridge for about 2 months now. Our old fridge didn't keep our food cold (about 45-50 degrees F in the fridge) so it's reassuring to see the temperature constantly displayed so you know your food is cold. The filter on the water is great and takes out quite a bit. The lights increase in brightness when you open the door, and are nice and bright. It's great. The only odd thing is that sometimes the ice maker doesn't put out ice (something I think gets clogged with the crushed ice). Disspensing some water and a little crushed ice, and it dispenses cubes of ice perfectly.

Thank you for sharing your icemaker experience, Joshutrumpet. I recommend removing the ice bucket, clear any ice that has frozen or blocking the ice chute, and reinsert the bucket.
