Problem with ice dispenser

About every 7th time (or so) when I use the ice dispenser ice will get caught in the shoot but it will not stop the ice from coming down causing a backlog in the chute and then I physically have to pull the ice jam out and then all the ice in the chute comes down and all over the floor. It's a really pain and I'm not happy with this!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wow Rodney! I really hate to hear of your experience. A tip that can possibly resolve your matter, is to see if ice has melted and frozen around the auger. If so, you will want to remove the ice container, thaw and empty the contents. Popping noises

I purchased the Frigidaire model FGHS2655PF recently and expected it to perform well after reading all the reviews on this site and a few other sites. Overall the unit looked good and has some attractive features.
The big problem I had was that the cooling system created some loud popping noises every 1-2 hours. It sounded like popcorn being made in the freezer compartment which lasted for about 10 seconds.
I did some research and found a few other frig owners experiencing the same problem. My understanding is that the expansion of gas in the evaporator tubes was causing bubbles of coolent to pop. VERY annoying when it lasts for 5-10 seconds.
(BTW - this problem is NOT related to the ice maker being hooked up to the water line. Mine was hooked up properly)
I liked the overall unit but did not want to take the risk arguing with Frigidaire for a fix. I exchanged the unit for a different brand and model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Full-featured side-by-side

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this because of the smudge-free stainless steel finish, and because my wife wanted to go back to a side-by-side with water and ice in the door. It is a large refrigerator that sticks out past the countertop but that works fine for us. We didn't like the smaller interior of the counter depth model, or the higher price. This one has the LED lighting that fades in when you open the door and it is much brighter than the standard bulbs, plus there are lights at the front so you can see everything.The only nits to pick would be the drawers that don't slide easily and the random odd noises it produces.

I HATE THIS FRIDGE!

This is the worst refrigerator I have ever owned. It is incredibly loud, to the point that is sometimes drowns out the yelling kids in the kitchen. The ice maker causes my blood pressure to rise everytime I want a drink. EVERY time I try to get ice, the shoot clogs up with half crushed ice and whole cubes. If you don't have a cup large enough, ice ends up all over the floor. The freezer baskets constantly come off the track and the refrigerator temperature varies by several degrees from the top to the bottom. Bottled water on the top shelf is semi-cold while blocks of cheese in the drawer are frozen. I wish there was an option for negative stars!

Noisy! Has already had to be repaired twice.

So far, we have had to have repair people come to our house twice to fix an issue with the ice maker. It is a very noisy machine and we would have likely purchased a less expensive unit if we had known about the noise ahead of time.
