Compressor failed after 4 years

I bought this refrigerator/freezer four years ago and the compressor seized up. The cost of repair exceeds $1100.00 Prior to this the ice machine was constantly failing to produce ice and had to be reprogrammed about once every three months. Not happy and will have to purchase a new fridge

Overall very good

I bought this fridge specifically because it had the best smudge-free ability of any other fridges I "tested" in the stores, and now that I own it, it's true. Really I like pretty much everything about the fridge, except two things...1) the feel of the pull-out drawers is very, very cheap 2) When we first got it, there was a horrible, loud, terrible screech when you used the top drawer. Thankfully it went away when the refrigerator got fully cold

Poor Quality

The smudge proof exterior works well but that is where the positives end. One of the shelves cracked as did the fruit drawer. Items are freezing in the fridge if they are close to the freezer side and the ice maker has stopped working for the second time. I've also incurred costly repairs on my dishwasher and microwave. Overall, these are the worst appliances I've ever purchased and I will never buy another Frigidaire product again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this a little over a month ago and so glad I decided on the Frigidaire Gallery line!!! It runs great - love the ice and water and all the space. The best part is the Stainless Steel on this doesn't leave fingerprints :)

This is the first brand new refrigerator we've ever purchased. We shopped around and found a specialty store that matched prices with the big box stores. We chose this model because of the smudge proof stainless steel, the cool lights that brighten slowly as you open the doors, and the overall roominess. We like the digital temperature display too. We're a little disappointed in the quality of the material (very 'plasticy') that the drawers are made of, they feel flimsy so we are very careful when we open and close the drawers. And like some other reviewers we hear odd noises coming from the back sometimes, but nothing seems amiss. Overall, so far so good.
I would recommend this to a friend!
