Pleasently surprised

When we moved back into our home we needed to buy a refrigerator. I looked for several weeks, and had settled on another brand. I then saw the Frigedair, and the price was better than the one I had decided to buy. I was a bit skeptical, because I did not know the name or branding. I have been very presently surprised, the model has exceeded our expectations in many ways.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Uneven temperatures

Unit was relatively highly rated for the price by Consumer Reports, therefore I did not expect that the refrigerator temps would be so uneven (as measured by individual appliance thermometers), moving in a 6 degree range and occasionally freezing items unexpectedly in both the drawers and on the top shelf near the air outflow. The freezer usually stays at -10, which is preferred, yet the temp setting itself only goes to -6. Finally, the cube dispenser should be slightly bigger as it episodically jams with cubes and churns away until cleared, usually messily.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Other than it doesn't tell when u left the doors open like it should, n the ice & water takes a little getting use to,this is the fridge that I wanted and In Loving it

Lots of ice and cold!

Love this fridge for the ice maker (LOTS of ice - a must for this house!), the cold, consistent temperature it keeps, storage and plenty of room (seems like more then the past ones we've owned) for a side-by-side and the non smudge stainless steel is amazingly awesome!!! The only thing we dislike in this fridge is that it is VERY noisy, so much that we thought it was bad and could run out of the house on its own. Several different sounds, noises and hums. Again, yes, I mean very loud! We have gotten used to it & so have the cats who were even a little freaked out for awhile. The fridge is really nice enough that we decided to over-look the fact of how loud it is. In all the fridges we have owned or seen, this is by far the loudest fridge ever! We had read it in a review, just didn't realize the review meant it was literally quite loud. If you can get past that - you will love this fridge for the space, function, cold, icemaker and price.

I bought this appliance in late March & I have been very happy with my purchase. I have plenty of storage for both frozen items as well as ample room for refrigerated items. I particularly like the digital display on the front which lets me know my filter is good and is working. A great buy!
