Ice maker is flaky. Makes lots of ice, sometimes gotta hit the ice box to get ice moving. Not sure if the cut off thing actually cuts off when full as ice overflows some onto the freezer shelves. the plastic holders, shelves etc. in the fridge are an accident waiting to happen= too thin plastic. Refrigerator freezes stuff depending on what shelf stuff is stored on. A smarter person than I would have read and believed the reviews in advance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi, Zork! Thank you for your time and feedback. I am pleased that you decided to become part of our Frigidaire family by purchasing our appliances! Ice production is controlled by the ice maker’s ON/OFF power switch. Press the switch to the “O” position to turn it off and press it to the “I” position to turn it on. The ice maker also has a built-in wire signal arm, which automatically stops ice production when the ice bin is full. Do not use this signal arm to manually stop the ice maker. Also, I recommend adjusting the freezer dial to colder and the fresh food to cold. This should fix your problem with frozen food in your refrigerator. I always liked the side by side feature. So when I remodeled my kitchen and changed to stainless steel I knew I wanted that style but I also didn't want to deal with fingerprints like soooo many kitchens I've seen. Smudge proof, best idea ever!!!!
