Meh.

This refrigerator looks beautiful in my kitchen. It cools and freezes wonderfully. However, it's noisy. It shudders when it starts up, pops, rattles, creaks, and emits a high pitched whine akin to that of a motorbike. Once, I could have sworn a tortured kitten was trapped inside, but upon unplugging and replugging the unit, I was able to stop the screeching sound. It's under warranty, but the repairman can't seem to find anything wrong with it. So, I'll just keep letting it sing the song of its chilly people until it dies.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to Care For.....

I bought my new Smudge Proof side by side refrigerator for my new condo this past May. It is so easy to care for and it truly is smudge proof! My only complaint is the ice maker. When using it ice really shoot out and I usually end up wiping up my floor.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Spews Ice, but keeps nice

Needed new refigerator... needed good price. Liked the features of this model, reviews were mostly positive. The interior is spacious, has good lighting, keeps food very fresh and cools to specified temp. BUT... the ice maker has been a disaster. The ice cube limiter never worked and the bin filled up continually, making it necessary to manually turn off/ on the unit... not easily done on this model. Ice would jam in the dispenser and then spew out all over the floor. We finally called an authorized repairman, and a new icemaking unit is on order.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible Ice Maker

The ice maker always runs out of ice. Comes screaming out and then doesn't break apart into normal size cubes. Gets stuck down the shoot 50% of the time, so you have to open up the freezer door and stick your hand down the shoot to clear the ice jam. No cold water feature, just luke warm. Would never purchase again.

Disposable Fridge - Won't last more than a year.

In the first year we've had this unit serviced multiple times, including replacing a valve for the water line and an whole new ice making system, among other issues. The good news is that it has been under warranty, the bad news is in our area (St. Louis) there are only 2 authorized repair shops and it takes over a week for an appointment. Warranty runs out this week and it just started leaking lots of water from under the unit, not the water supply line. Not happy that I doubt this brand new refrigerator probably won't last much longer than a year.

Poor construction and design, freezer shelf suppor

The freezer shelf/basket supports/hangers are deficient in design and construction. The results are the shelves are falling out of the support guides as the structures pull out of the wall and cause the supports to tip--rotate out of proper alignment. Twice service men attempted to correct this issue but have been unsuccessful.

Not the same quality of years ago!

I bought this refrigerator and had to returned it twice. The deli drawer made an awful noisy! The ice would get stuck and the refrigerator would start making all type of noices to alert me that there was ice stuck. I loved Frigidaire and all my kitchen appliances have been Frigidaire Gallery for over 10 years, therefore when my Frigidaire Gallery broke I purchased Frigidaire again of course; however I was very disappointed of their new low quality! Had to replaced the brand new Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator with another brand. My kitchen appliances are not uniform anymore. Very disappointed.
