Great Refrigerator no problems!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My primary refrigerator stopped working unexpectedly and it wasn't worth repairing. I needed a new fridge quickly. I went to a few stores, did some research online and found this one at a great price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only had this for 4 mths. Makes and odd noise now and again, but reading other reviews it must be the icemaker. Although it still makes the noise when the icemaker is turned off. Love the lighting. One of our shelves plastic slides for the drawers shattered. So I am nervous it may happen again. Contacted frigidare and it was replaced. Sometimes the ice gets stuck and you have to open the doir to loosen and ice cubes fly everywhere. Happened twice so far.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Too Loud!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had my refrigerator for a few months, and the noise that come from the back of it is so annoying. When I open it at night with no other lights on in the room, I feel like I'm on stage with the light flashing on me it's so bright.

CoutRN, welcome to the Frigidaire family! I totally understand your comment on the designer lighting! When I open the doors, the ramp-up lighting makes me think I need a “TA-DA” or a close up! Getting used to the sounds from a new refrigerator can be frustrating. Page 22 of your Owner’s Manual addresses the normal sights and sounds your refrigerator will exhibit. Decent refrigerator, could be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The freezer door pops open slightly when you close the refrigerator door. The ice maker is noisy. The ice maker releases an avalanche of ice so push the button quickly! Other than those issues, I really like the fridge.

Thank you for choosing to become part of the extended Frigidaire family, Yoyo1820. I have some things I think will help! Make a visual inspection of the gasket on the freezer door, checking to confirm that it is securely in the channel all around the door. Sometimes taking a bit of Vaseline on your finger and smoothing it on the gasket will cause it to form a better seal, helping to keep it from popping open. It sounds like your ice maker may be jamming. Here are a few items to check. Has ice melted & frozen around the auger? If so, remove the ice bin and empty, clean, and dry it. Are there any cubes jammed between ice maker and rear of the ice bin? If so, remove the ice that is stuck, and return the ice bin to the proper position. When new ice is made, the dispenser should operate normally. Getting used to the sounds from a new refrigerator can be frustrating. Page 22 of your Owner’s Manual goes over the normal operating sights and sounds your refrigerator will exhibit. I hope this helped! Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth
