Purchased this fridge May 30, and now end of Dec we are on our second repair with this fridge. First was the ice door flap would not close and now the Evaporator fan has seized.. The finish and lighting is nice, but overall this fridge is loud, gurgles, popping sounds, the ice maker is really loud when it refills and does not have chilled water. The ice maker shoots ice everywhere, either you get no ice then it spits out 20 cubes at once, always cleaning the floor in front of the fridge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased 3 months ago for more storage. Happy with size and upgraded stainless finish. Not so much with the movement of the drawers. Also, ice tends to lump up jam the door Shute.

The worst appliance I have ever owned

We bought this refrigerator in March of 2014 and it is a constant source of stress for me. For starters, product design is terrible. The ice cubes are shaped so they become lodged in the chute, which backs up very quickly causing it to either stop -- OR shoot out the backed-up ice all over the floor. The other nightmare scenario is when backed up ice presses against the water control causing water to shoot out uncontrollably. I can't have children or guests use the ice maker because of the potential for disaster. I avoid using it and have to reach in and grab ice from the bin. I had a technician come out who said that the problem was that the ice cubes weren't frozen enough and to turn down the temp to -6 degrees when the manual says zero. That didn't work, as the problem is POOR DESIGN. Then, on the refrigerator side, the temperature started fluctuating about 6 months ago - The temp reads 35 degrees, yet I have frozen eggs and heads of lettuce. The crisper drawers are cheap plastic and you have to manipulate them to slide back into place. It is attractive looking, but that's the only nice thing I can say. Be warned, this isn't your grandmother's Frigidaire brand!

Not worth it

I have had this fridge since feb 2015 and have had nothing but issues with it fro day one. Ice maker broke twice, control board broke, front panel on the fridge didn't work right, water filter froze constantly and didn't allow me to use the water, had to purchase a bypass. Was more of a headache than what it was worth. Don't waste your time.

Horrible fridge

Ice maker constantly jams poor design, very loud growling sound tech said it was compressor and its normal....do not buy!!!!!

Oh no! Waldo202, I am dismayed to hear of your dissatisfaction with your refrigerator. Page 36 in your Owner’s Manual has some good tips for dealing with a jamming ice dispenser. Modern, high-efficiency compressors may have a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound. You will find a list of the normal operating sounds on page 29 of your Owner’s Manual. The ice maker is a little quirky. Often the ice gets jammed up, causing excessive amounts of ice to release all over my floor.

Needless to say - it's AWESOME......from the lights to "grow brighter" to the many "bins" where you can adjust for what is stored in them. Having the temperature displayed is a great feature along with the "odor" filter in the refrigerator section. Great appliance.
