Refreshingly simple to set up

This was given to me as a gift, so I would stay off her tablet. It has become a constant pain in the butt whenever you buy something new these days because you have to charge batteries, somehow manage to hook to internet, router, download software,and updates, it never works, start over, try to contact customer support, learn how to use the thing, etc. None of those headaches with the Roku 3. Even though we are plagued with problems from our router, I have to say the Roku was super simple and quick to get up and running. It is easy to operate. Minimal buttons on the remote (I hate busy controls with 50 things you never use) and we love the earphone plug on the remote.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm very disappointed in my Roku. Perhaps I don't understand the point of it. I can't mirror my iPhone on to the TV, it also does not support the NBC app along with several other key missing features. I will be returning my Roku and gettting AppleTV instead.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Goog Product : Not Perfect

Have Roku 3 installed about a month. Thought I would be using it all the time. I am only using it once in a while. Some TV shows are OK but, with all the choices I would think I would have more interest. The Movie choices are many but, most are older or sub-titled and they are all priced way more than I would pay for movies I could watch for free on other venues. It is a good product that is easy to set up and use and it does produce a quality picture. I would recommend to a friend with some reservations.

best choice for a streaming device

Purchased this after getting a new tv in December. I'm an Apple person, but chose the Roku for a couple reasons:
- universal search: can search at the Roku homepage and will show me results across Netflix, Google, Amazon, etc
- ability to access Amazon Prime
- usb port
I would recommend this to a friend!

Solved a Lot of Headaches

I got the Roku 3 because I was having several chronic problems streaming Netflix through my Samsung blu-ray player (especially after updating the firmware). It was taking longer to get the streaming to work than to watch the program. The Roku solved it all - just select it's HDMI imput, pick the show, and it goes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great product with one annoying fault

Lots of channels to choose from, loads fast. One very annoying problem: at times when I am scrolling through choices of shows the Roku will begin scrolling wildly on its own. It will not respond to the remote. The only way to stop it is to unplug it from its power source, wait a few minutes, and plug it back in.
I would recommend this to a friend!
