I got this about a month ago. The remote locks up and I've changed batteries. It didn't seam to help. Offen in to open and reable the batteries for it to work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than ever!

I received the new Roku 3 for Christmas. I use it via Wi-Fi and the connection is better than my old Roku XD. I like the speed with which everything loads now too. And I do like the new look. It sets up fast and any age can easily use it.

Good, but could be great

Roku is a good product. However it could be a great product if not for its inability to interface with existing audio equipment. If you use speakers or any type a quadraphonic sound system, getting these to function together is a bit of a task.

The Ruko does not allow me to play my movies from my collection stored on my NAS. Also does not play .iso files.

Purchased my Roku last month, installed it in a few minutes, purchased Netflix and Amazon Prime, and now I can choose from 1,000's of movies to watch anytime I like. You can pause a movie or turn off the television and come back later to the same spot you stopped. Love it.

I love playing the roku on my tv. my husband and I dont have dish or anything so its really all we use for tv. The only thing I know that he wishes was that there was a sports network or something that didn't cost almost all of his paycheck to watch the different games.
