I've had a Roku for several years now, but just got a new model for Christmas. Man, do it blow me away! Loaded with features I didn't even know I needed. The high-def is incredible.

Better than Smart TV and Blu Ray Player both

My Smart TV and Blu Ray player both have Netflix & various other apps, but I consistently prefer to use my Roku as it has the best interface. I wish it had a remote with a dedicated keyboard as the Roku iPhone app is actually really hard to use, but other than that I love the experience.

Poor or No Sound Reproduction Through Stereo

I thought I was upgrading when I bought the Roku 3 from the Roku 2.
Yes it does have Mirrorcast, and it does work just fine. But if your concern is good sound reproduction from OTHER than just the TV, forget it. Roku 2 has a stereo sound out to connect directly to your stereo, and the sound is robust. If you try to connect to your stereo from the only stereo out on the remote of the Roku 3 it's much less than horrible. So if you have a Roku 2 and connect to your stereo through the Roku unit....KEEP IT! If your want Mirrocast buy the unit separately from Netgear.

Flawless Victory!

I have multiple game consoles I've used for streaming media but when I got a new TV for my bedroom I needed a solution. I tried the Roku as I'd heard good things about the device. Needless to say I LOVED IT! I actually bought 2 more after my first to replace the consoles for streaming. Roku is just to smooth and too easy!

Much Better Than Smart TV Features

Though my Samsung is a "smart" tv, the Roku works much better. It is faster and simpler. It also doesn't have the same buffering issues. It is a great product.

Pretty good - easier to use and more robust than Chrome Cast. Have problems with Amazon instant video seems to have many delays - all other service work well
